I'm bascally turning this useless space into a training field.
Could work to test out recruits too.
Guild halls: friendly fire and weapons out
Several people in my guild are T1... I'm T3. Hmm. One shots anyone?
I think, to avoid inner guild griefing (imagine requiring a "Return to Haven" button because you keep getting floored in the guild hall) people can mark themselves in Guild Halls as PvP or non PvP depending on what loadout they have equipped.
Otherwise, since it's more or less impossible to fight people from your own guild for fun due to how lockdown teams work- so I'm all for it!
People can chat while dead, too.
However, some will hate each other for killing them.
i think a small section of the guild hall ought to be for that, kind of like a boxing ring in the corner. good for showing tactics and stuff too, since i currently run to the training hall to do that.
I think that having the whole Guild Hall become a danger-zone for fellow guild members is kind of asking for trouble, but to let part of the Guild Hall be used like a mini-training zone like in the Advanced Training Hall would be nice -- after all, darned if I find that place too crowded to be able to test things out reliably some of the time.
So, rather than having the Guild Hall have friendly fire, or have a section of it dedicated to friendly fire, instead perhaps have a section that houses some of those little training 'bots to try out weapons and tactics on? (Because that 'use your shield!' section of the Advanced Training Hall is too small to do much experimentation with certain things.)
More on-topic, though, on the note of a Friendly Fire zone . . . well, I can only see that ending up either A) causing the Guild Hall to become even more abandoned than it already is as lower-tier members stay out of it rather than get killed by their higher-tier 'friends' and the higher-tier characters avoiding it because there's nobody to beat on and as such nothing to really do there, or B) causing the Guild Hall to become a hotbed of in-guild bullying, more than I could ever see the function being used to train.
Maybe in the Serious Business guilds (speed-runners, PVP guilds, etc.) there might be some training going on there, but it's pretty easy to see it just degenerating into a lawless den of blood and suffering instead. =_=
Sounds like there are some really friendly and nice guilds out there... Really if I was in a guild where people did that, I wouldn't stick around. Heck even if they don't have this feature I wouldn't stick around in a guild with such people.
YES please, make a zone in there where we can fight. Doesn't have to be big... Maybe even a "mob dispenser" - put in mats, "attract" a random mobs that could (but do not have to) spawn it. I'd love that.
but only should it be in like a cornor or a specially designed area.
Jupp. Fighting ring.
( Though I'd love it to malfunction from time to time and turn the whole guild hall into a battlefield. xD )
this sound great... but it needs to be in advanced training hall or under option when you click on someone in haven (but not both). i have beed giving gun lessons to new players sometimes free, sometimes for pay (mosty autogun lessons) and dont want this to be for your own guild only.
it would bu cool if you had monster spawners with gates in front of them so you could test out tectics on difrent monsters (1 spawns kats, another lumbers ect...) but close them if you dont want them. this wouls cost (x) cr to use for (y) amount of time so u dont just go to have fun when u r out of mist. or (crazy idea) u need a "teaching permit" from guild master admin or some other method.
hope u all like my ideas and what do you all think of the last one?
Sounds fun!
