It just occurred to me today that I have no idea what conditions trigger a "defend" score in Lockdown. Captures is pretty obvious, as is damage, but defends is still a mystery to me.

My guess is that it happens

My guess is that it happens when:

1) you have already capped a point
2) An opponent tries to take it to neutral. The ring must shrink a little
3) You stop them before it gets to neutral, then refresh the point to full.

But that's only a guess.

I think a defend is as

I think a defend is as follows.
Point is captured for you team, and is at 100%.
Enemy steps on, and lowers it gradually. You kill the enemy, and it stops, let's say, at 75%.
You stand on it and return it to 100%, successfully defending the point.

Or at least that's what I think is logical.

Might have some sort of special rules, like the % of control needs to be at a certain level or something...

Edit: Heh, Twiddle beat me to it.

The others are completely

The others are completely wrong.

The answer is:

Your capture point is at 100%, and an enemy tries to take it, but you kill them and restore your capture point.

There. record set straight. :D
