Dunno if this has been suggested before. And if it has-- here it is again!

Anyways, while our silly paper and/or replica masks won't last much longer, if they even still are lasting, I think the authentic masks should be able to have accessories on them. Seeing as they last forever and the other costumes (Rose Regalia, Bombheads) have accessory positions as well, I see no reason why the authentic masks shouldn't! Especially since you -could- have potentially gotten more than one during the event; one could be the mask that's all spruced up, while the other can be your normal mask that makes you a generic Phantom Mask with Vog Cub Coat knight.
