theres practically no 5* items at the auction and the existing ones cost a helluva lot of crowns. To craft one, you need like 800 energy which u cant get from mist. However, the energy you buy from players is CE right? so lets say 7000 CR for 100 CE, so if u had 35000 crowns, plus 25000 to buy the recipe, plus 5000 for the alchemy cost, you could get a 5* item for 65000 crowns without paying anything, amirite?
can u get 5* items free2play?
Dont forget to add in the costs of rare mats. When you get to 5* equipment there's usually 1 or 2 mats that don't drop as often . You may want to add that cost in to the total price
Yup, that's the idea. It can get a bit dull, but if you're careful in choosing the right tiers to farm, just one farming run a day can net you at least enough cr to trade for 100 ce, even at 7k cr/100 ce. Add that to supplemental income (selling extra mats, perhaps start a crafting alt) and while it will take some time to do, it won't be as long as you'd think.
@ skidkid
As a free player, I have found that in the time it takes to get the crowns/ce for 5* crafting, you have plenty of tokens to buy the rare mats with. 5* mats are 20 tokens, so its kinda free (asuming of course you arnt using tokens to buy mats to sell)
I think that's mostly how P2P players do it too. I mean, buying a clean 5* item is usually 5k CE or so, and crafting it is much, much cheaper even though it takes longer.
Of course you can! I happened to be a F2P player and yesterday I got my Vog Cub Cap. As a F2P player, I can tell you that it took a long time for me to do that (mainly because I am too busy crafting new stuff).
Also, CE prices aren't that high yet. So assuming that 100CE is 6400cr, it will be 8x6400+25000+5000=81200cr
It's not too hard F2P to get enough crowns and ce to craft a full set of 5* items. I'm nearly there myself. It just takes time, patience and skill.
I don't see why not? :P
My guild leader has 1.63million crowns and 30K CE
She hasn't spent a penny on this game
I'm now a P2P player (I paid for 750 CE just to stop being forced to share mist with my bro) but I haven't spent any CE and I'm on 3* items now. It shouldn't be that hard to get to 5* weapons if you're a serious player.
I'm a Free-To-Play player. I have got two good 4 star items, Ash Tail Coat and Avenger, getting my third today, Ash Tail Cap, and the rest is 3 star, which is Antigua and Drake Scale Shield. I usually get about... 5,000 crowns-per-run. I do the Jelly King a lot, with 5 star people. I keep saving up every day, and then I buy recipes, then Crystal Energy, materials, and craft them. So if I played every day and got 5,000 Crowns, then I would get 35,000 Crowns in a week. Then you've got yourself a nice wad o' cash to spend :D When Crystal Energy prices get high, you can also buy 500 of it because 35,000 divided by 7,000 =500!
It doesn't matter, the results are the same.
Every 100 CE is 6400 crowns and you need to get 8 100CE so it would be 8x6400.
Pls do not challenge my maths since I am doing Cambridge's AS Level Maths a year earlier than I should.
It took me (+750 CE) about a month to get to full 5*, and my activity is limited by school.
All I can say is, run bosses (for crowns, JK>Twins), sell loot, make friends with other regular grinders, give each other boosts/leeches to minimize the energy spent running through the levels before boss stratums, and always strive to be better at the game. Skill and equipment go hand in hand, and a lot of the time a skilled player will be able to take on harder stratums/bosses with less leveled gear.
And, PLAN AHEAD so you know what you're doing, and can build one good set that will work for you (preferably in FSC, for the epic crowns and heat there) and help you build more specialized sets :).
Keep on going, and you'll get there (:
i have 3* and 4* items, and I dont get how you guys fight jelly kings, and get 5k crowns a round.. i get like 500, what am i doing wrong:/
I also dont understand how you pick your clockwork level? thanks:)
Yes, that's how you do it being a free to play player. That takes a lot of time to gather all those crowns, but you don't spend any real money.
