The thing is ALL piercing weapons do a lot of damage. The flourish is better in lockdown in my opinion. Nightblade, on the other hand, really sucks in lockdown(low range, very slow, charge attack does almost no damage).

I need to lecture Lordnamechange , who uses words like "thru" and confuses "are" with "is", etc.
1) Take a typing class. Not a deliberate troll, just a point of advice. No one is gonna take you seriously.
2) I find alpha wolvers quite easy, and I'm sure many people do as well.
3) They do not ignore any ressistance or attack. They are weak to peircing, ressistant to elemental, and deal peircing and normal damage. Statuses vary, of course.

Though I do agree with the analogy you presented. A alpha wolver with very high ASI, extra defense, and a jetpack would be much more difficult than the snarbolax. Also, you make a good point on how there is no pure-peircing armor to defend against final flourishes. If I'm fighting someone with a full-normal troika, I can just equip plate mail, that has full normal ressistance. However, the flourish lines deal only peircing, and there is no armor that has maximum peircing defense. The best you can do is jelly, but about a third of your defense is normal, and is wasted completely since the thorn blade dosen't deal any normal damage. So the thorn blade deals more damage and has more speed all at once.
Pretty obvious choice to make, a fast strong sword is better than a slow weak one.

Also, Zephyrgon, don't underestimate the charge attacks of brandish lines. Watch my nightblade charge attack demolish frozen players who have the red recon mark. Prevaling a striker with a snarble barb dosen't come up from below the screen give me a nasty jab to the crotch, slag guard style.

If I see you in Lockdown I will unleash Piercing with Barbarous Thorn Blade on you.

And to counter your argument, Twisted Snarble barb is 3* as opposed to the other reportedly OP weapons such as DIVINE AVENGER or GRAN FAUST.
Not to mention just wear full skolver. Still 2HKO? Then try defending the GF or DA with full Vog or Snarby. Still 2HKO? Then try guarding piercing with Skolver. Still 2HKO?Look i can go on for hours and tbh everything is basically a 2-3hit kill if you're a Striker and even still about 3-4 hits for a Guardian/Recon. You are screwed either way since you cant guard all damages and be invincible.

Now to throw my thoughts in, Devilites and Alpha Wolvers are only hard when theres ANOTHER ENEMY TYPE in the battle as well (Kats, Gun Puppies).
Otherwise I've soloed and noticed its easier to defeat them when they are the sole monster type/family in the battle.

IDK what your talking about I used the shock burst brandish for a long time (Before I sold it *sob*) and I was slaying TSB guys left and right and only had wolver armor! so stop whining and get you a shockburst.

I got pwned by JK 9001+ times. Did I complain that he was too OP and demand that he be reduced to half size? Maybe a little. But then I revised my gear and strategy, and soloed him before he was changed.

That does make sense, but it would still be easier to defend against, say, a gran faust. I was assuming you could apply an equal level of tactical-advantage to each weapon, but only a certian amount of armor advantage.

But I didn't say the wolver stuff, Orangeo did. I called him immature. Yet I hope this gets locked after my post. Though in my point of view, I used snarble in a construct lv and I just hated the thrust in a danger room. In GW, with FV(freeze) It worked like a charm. Though Psycho, Im a bomber with 2* and I havent though about a gun with GB, would it be fine with a sword?

@Atrumvindex: Sorry, my knowledge of SK abbreviations is still a bit tacky. What does GW and GB mean? I can guess FV is Freezing vaporiser, but otherwise, I'm stumped.

EDIT: Could GB be graviton bomb? And do you mean it plus gun, or it plus sword?

In either case, here's what I'd do:
- Plant bomb. Charge sword. Bomb sucks in opponents. Release charge. Charge smacks all opponents who were sucked into the Graviton. (calibur line is good). This strategy if better for weapons with a formidable charge attack, but is a bit harder to secure your target. Secre them with the bomb, then hit them with it while they cant move.

- Plant bomb. Sucks in opponents. Fire all ya lazors at them. Before it runs out, plant another. Repeat. Again, this strategy just helps to keep your targets immobile, so you can hit them and they can't evade.

Tell me if this is for PvP strategy, of PvE. Cuz I may have to modify my explanation a bit depending.

I have been practicing my charge attacks in LD, its a lot about predicting how people move, I got some realy nice barb and sealed sword charges in yesterday. I am almost done heating my shock brandish so very soon I will have a third sword to smack folks with. Yay.

my shockburst brandish destroys everyone so badly. noobs especially.

on sat-sun, I was doing lockdown. On the other team, there was a noob with no teir 2 gear except an autogun, which he kept charging.

I kept killing him. The funniest kill was when he marched out of his locker room with his autogun charged. fortunately, i happaned to be right where he came out of, with my shockburst charged.

noob: walk out
*1/4 second later*
me: unleash charge
noob: blasted back into locker room, dead.

whole play took only 1 second.

I'm ashamed to admit, however, that, somewhere else in the game, he killed me. =P

my super blast bomb is very good for mob battles. my team kept engaging the other team in ginormous mob battles, and I just kept bomb spamming. everyone on the other team kept taking so much damage. so fun.

peircing swords in LD = /die

I killed a guy wielding a piercing sword, and Shadownox said that that was the most epic moment ever in lockdown. =P
