a simple solution to allow a 1*-5* line

as it stands, theres no longer a 1* piece of equipment or lower that has an upgrade path to 5*. The reasons may vary but i believe it was due to ragecrafters using their ME to craft for UVs. although u can still ragecraft u cant do it as much as before

so the solution is simple: prevent 1* equipment and lower from acquiring UVs except for rolling UVs with Punch. this would allow for new lines of 1-5 star weapons for new players to experiment and at the same time allowing them the option to upgrade

naturally this could lead to some equipment of lower star levels of equipment that started above 1* or even linking pre existing 1* stuff to current lines (heavy hatchet to troika?). opens up new possibility imo

edit:
on the subject of bombs however i doubt a 1* bomb would be good since their radius wouldn't be so good

Good idea, but -

Good idea, but I think there could be a different way around it. But that seems perfectly logical.

I agree with Mad

Partly because I have a second knight that could use some good 1* + weapons right now. Another is because new players NEED good items. I cant tell u how many times I see people begging for items.

seems good, but haze bomb already has a tree of it own, so they would have to merge items together, how long could that take!

i dont think they should merge the chemical lines nor do i think 2* bombs should have a 1* because the radius is too small

You could make it so that UVs

You could make it so that UVs "wear out" after 2 or 3 craftings. Like, you'd be able to take a UV on a 1* to 3* or 3* to 5*, but taking a 2* to 5* would "break" the UV.

i think that would be more of a punishment rather than something beneficial

How about different UV's can

How about different UV's can only be obtained on different star levels. Example; M!=5* craft, Ul=4*craft, VH=3* craft, Hi=2* craft, Me=1*, Lw=0*.
That way people can ragecraft, but they can only get medium CTR tops. Or you could shift it over, so you don't start getting low UV's until 2*, and so on and so fourth.

An alternative to the idea

(To the OP) I don't really like that, I don't know. Maybe because it could affect people who like Lockdown Tier 1 and not letting them have a "Attack Speed Increase: Maximum!" in their weapons...

I would prefer to rise crafting prices for 0*-1* equipments that would continue to 5* to 50CE, the same for 2*, this wouldn't rise. This way ragecrafters are discouraged either way but they would be able to craft UV'd equipment for low level PVP purposes.

personally i never agreed with UVs or trinkets/weapon slots in pvp but if they are that adamant about it they can just roll with punch

i think we should keep the energy prices the way they are for the newbs sake

...Thinking it better

Well, putting it that way, it is true that the people who would enter a Tier 1 lockdown would be most likely newbies or oldies bored/wanting to fight like when they started, so yeah, having high UVs would "contaminate" it... yep, you are right, it could then work. You got me and my +1.

in all honesty i didnt think of the whole UV thing in pvp but it is unlikely they it would have such good UVs in t1 pvp
