I don't know how we managed to get out of here with one revive, with only a Grand Flourish, Spike Shower, and 4* Shock bomb.
Ouch.

Uh, you should be able to deal with that with just one of either of the two bombs you mentioned. The spike shower is the easier of the two, but I've killed all the bombers in T3 arenas with a shivermist, an ash of agni and I'm sure that the shock bomb can do it also.
To be quite honest, the 4* spike shower maybe be second only to the 5* Dark Briar Barrage in ease of killing those gremlin bombers.
I don't know if you know this Algol Sixty, but the shock bomb deals elemental damage.
No, I'm not talking about the initial explosion, I'm talking about the shock deals.
4 damage in T3 is hardly enough to beat two menders. And perhaps I should add that the Spike Shower was level 4.
With bomber hell flying everywhere getting down a no ctr bomb is hard.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. Sounds like a fun thing to go try my shock bomb out on. I've also beaten them with a storm driver. It can take a while.
So, it sounds more like you hate having the wrong equipment for a specific situation. The same would apply to not having the right sword or gun, or having weak versions of any weapon.
Don't blame the bombs...bombs love you!
-Notbob, just-self-appointed head of the Bombers Are Awesome PAC.
Using bombs on the bombers is actually a VERY bad idea. They go NUTS. especially with the shivermist. You freeze them in place and they start throwing bombs across the screen then any of your team mates trying to get in and sword them down... can't. Guns are your best bet with those suckers. That's why your screen shot is a cluster.... I try to bring my acheron for such occasions and avoid bombing altogether with those things around.
Acheron rips grems a new one. If you know you're facing grems but not too many slimes, that's your best bet.
Any shadow gun will do, even blackhawk/sentenza. If you run around constantly, you'll almost always have a clear place (without planted bombs) to be and this wave actually turns to be much more manageable than if the place was full of mechas.
That was a pretty rough map. For the back story: the previous levels were a Wolver Den and Stone Grove, so I had geared up for that with my snarby sword, nightblade, spike shower and plasma cap with a virulisk set and snarby shield (all 4*).
In hindsight, dropping the plasma caps instead of the spike showers wasn't the best plan. I was hoping that the chain shock would make up for the damage resistance and keep them interrupted enough for Rangerwill to chip away at them but it didn't work too well.
I switched to the spike shower after I noticed we weren't making any headway and that thinned them out enough for me to kamikaze the menders with my silent nightblade. From there it was just a matter of cleaning up the stragglers.
But for most of that wave the entire arena was just a carpet of explosion.
The Spike Shower line is great for gremlin bombers. Only takes a few hits to kill them, and you can chain it because of the knockdown. My favorite is just to knock them back with a Flourish. It pushes them along ahead of you and out of their bomb radius, that is more for picking off stragglers after the Spike Shower has done its job though. Acheron works well too, kills them quickly but Gran Faust is just too slow to hit and takes too long to recover.
When it gets crazy in that last room sometimes I will actually drop a Shivermist. I do it for the crowd control not for the kill since they'll start spamming bombs in place. That way most of the bombers are locked up while I take out anyone not frozen.
Just watch your feet, make sure you aren't standing on a bomb. And don't use Voltaic Tempest, poor damage and just makes them spam. Even Ash is a better choice if you don't mind staying on the move. Or you can just poison them and let the healers kill them, that is fun too.
Stagger storm + final flourish or BTB.
Do not inflict status (frost, fire, shock) on them as they would spam bombs everywhere. Stun seems to be the only status that work on them without them spamming bombs.
I completely forgot about stagger storm. yes. stagger storm with an acheron is heaven against bombers. :D
I had the DA, BTB, and the Polaris equipped. I was ready for anything except gremlin bombers.
One pill later, I had taken out the 2 menders. Taking out the bombers... slow. Very slow.
Then Evanti shows up with his Umbra driver and kills them all.
Show off.
Gremlins be a' trollin.
Cool pic though, I remember when me and some friends got WIPED. (not to mention i soloed one of those and failed epically)
In other news; I would request a screenshot of using the Gravitron Vortex on them >:D
Just a thought
Yeah, I ended up wishing to heaven that I had brought my Silent Nightblade or my Virulent Catalyzer.
But no, I had a grand flourish, electron vortex, voltedge, and my poor, poor, Prisma Driver.
Thanks for the compliments guys!
Cheers,

The Levi's charge works adequately well for me, but it can be difficult to catch them. I happen to hate bombs in LD more than Gremlin Demos, but that must be just me. Either way, I found your screenshot the best thing to show newbies who say "This game is easy!"
that's exactly what happened to me. Except I was solo and it was Tier 2.
I like your picuture. :D
anyways, i dont really use bombs, but i keep them as backup. sometimes, haveing a bomb can be useful. for instance if ur being chased by a bunch of monsters, they can be very useful. so dont hate the bombs; hate the monsters!
Cheerio!

Spike bombs work great on those gremlin mobs...if you can get rid of the menders, you can use the spike bomb to kill off the gremlin bombs at a fast pace. Best combo there would be poison plus spikes (obviously your highest version of each).
I got the same last wave in the same arena again today with another friend. Skipped the plasma cap this time and went straight for the spike shower, but still ended up with I think one wipe before I managed to kamikaze the menders.
And then I tripped over the spikes going over to revive my friend. FFFFFUUUUUUUU-
biohazard works really well and is a lot of fun for that wave. you just run in circles and spam like 10-15 charge shots into the middle, boom :D
I had a grand flourish, electron vortex, voltedge, and my poor, poor, Prisma Driver.
Your best bet would have been to run around, try to get the healers by themselves, sword them with your grand flourish, then finish off the demos with your prisma driver. Alternatively, you could try to use your prisma to distribute your attacks among the demos and try to kill the healers while they are distracted healing everyone else. I know it will take FOREVER, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
I love having curse vials in rooms like this, throw one and half of the room is dead. :D
I have a friend whose course of action when bombs hit the fan is to spam his Voltaic Tempest. This works absolute wonders on t3 Wolvers and Gremlin Bombers.
Using my snarby bomb (and ash of agni in other types of T3 arenas), I've often had the healers be one of the last to die. By then, I can get the bombs close enough to kill the healers too. As long as you have at least 3 or 4 monsters being damaged by the AoE of the bomb, you are going to be out DPS'ing the healers.
Sure, hit the healers if you can *safely* hit them, but don't kamikaze them.
OK, in my first reply to this thread, I said that either bomb could deal with that crowd of gremlins, the spike shower being the easier of the two. Now, I've never gotten good enough with my sword, so I'm curious, can good sword users clear those bombers using just the grand flourish?
I'm curious, can good sword users clear those bombers using just the grand flourish?
I think it may be possible by using the movement provided by the flourish's charge attack. Run around the room, charge your attack, look for an opening, rush though the wave quickly, then get out of there before too many bombs go off. It would take a long time, you have to watch out for spikes, and you will probably die anyway, but that's how I might approach it.
@Algol I should say I kamikaze'd them in the sense that I dove in with full health and tanked a few bomb blasts in order to kill them, whereas my usual play style is to try to avoid taking any damage at all.
I don't know about clearing the wave with just a grand flourish, but using the snarby or nightblade's charge attack can be effective, if slow. The nightblade is nice because the explosions penetrate the mass of mobs and can do damage to the healers hiding in the middle, whereas the snarby's shotgun charge spreads the damage over a lot of them to keep the healers busy, and can one-shot them if you're close enough. Doing it with just regular snarby/flourish attacks should be doable if you have a strong enough shield to absorb a few bomb blasts here and there... ok, a lot of bomb blasts.
"Using bombs on the bombers is actually a VERY bad idea"
Oh Jen, it depends ;).
Its actually very very fun :D!
Also, the only reason why i got hit was because of taking the screenshots xD.
Today we hit one of those gremlin-last wave arenas... I was packing a Dark Briar Barrage, a friend had a Shivermist, another guy had a Graviton Vortex and the fourth was the usual swordsman.
Final wave starts, the Grav. bomber and me were in the left bottom corner against gremlin demos and thwackers... Both of us wearing Mad Bomber full set, we unleashed what I later dubbed the 'Corner of Doom' x) Gremlins getting pulled in, then knocked down by the DBB repeat three times for complete gremlin wipe.
Anyways! As others have suggested, DBB is a solid option against gremlin demos - you can even move between charges to try and catch a mender or two, too! Alternatively, I just place down some fire DoT and tackle the menders while they are busy, be it either with the Combuster charge or a curse vial.
Welcome to the club.
Gremlin bombers on T3 arena is my worst nightmare, even more than devilites.
