We're all tired of crafting materials we can't use vanishing into the ether for a measly 1 crown each.
So, when these things are sold, they are "stored" by a vendor and they have a set amount of weekly recipes they build off of and make as many items as they can from the sold material pool and are sold at wildly reduced prices! (like 30-50% of the original price)
This keeps from inflating crowns more than they are already and promises the player that they'll get something back! or they watch a vile striker get sniped first thing in the morning by some spry enterprising individual
Of course what this means we'll see wrench wands out the ass but at least they cost 2250 instead of 7500
That's interesting enough... a lot of tweaking would have to be involved to serve the economy properly though. Regardless of technicals I think this is a pretty unused idea among the MMO genre. I could be wrong there, but I think it's a valid mechanic to consider.
