I haven't had any luck with selling this lockbox. I guess with all the accessories up on the AH, it is easier to do away with these boxes and just go for what you want. But I really do need some crowns... except...

What if there's something really good in this box?
What if its... the mythical Divine Wolver Tail? What if I sell this box, and they open a Divine Wolver Tail right in front of me?

I've gotten maybe 8 lockboxes

I've gotten maybe 8 lockboxes in this entire time. Sold 3 for 1k, then another 3 for 30CE, one for 1k on the auction, and the last one I sold for 22k when they first came out. I have no desire whatsoever to open them, 'cause I won't be able to afford the keys for a very long time. xD

actually....

the contents of a lockbox are determined upon opening, which means that the item is decided upon opening. if someone opens a divine wolver tail from it, it could have been a cool canteen for you.

You don't know what it's going to give you, but you can't bear to let it go because it might give you something good. You don't know what was in it anyway, so to the owner, it's still random.

I remember the first time I got a lock box. Went down to the AH and sold it for like 7000 crowns. (This was back when lockboxes just came out.) Then I got my second one. Sold it for 5000 crowns. Got my third one. Went down to the AH and saw they were selling for 2K each. I thought, maybe I should hang on to this. The price might come up soon. Went back down to the AH... 1K, and I have about 3 or 4 in my arsenal. I'm still waiting for the price to come up. I guess I should unload them already.

In fact, I'll run back down to the AH now. I'll check how much they are selling for.
