I do not have the full detailed story but this is what I got.
My guild mates and I went down to Shadow Lair Snarby today. Two of the party members who knew each other decided to meet up a one of their home and play together.
Everything was pretty fine and dandy, little laggy, until second depth. Right off the bat, we hit a huge spike and the 2 mentioned before D/C'd. the GM and I figured we'd wait a bit and hope they come back on. 5 minutes pass we start to wonder if there is a problem, 10 minutes fast we start to worry something is very wrong. Our gut feeling was confirmed a lot later.
Turns out the load cause internet BLOW OUT at the guys house when they entered the second depth.

Uhhhh, there is no way the game caused their internet to blow up on them. Maybe their internet company, some moron hitting a pole, or the modem/router dying... among other possible reasons. Even if the load was heavy it wouldn't kill the internet, just slow everything down to a crawl.
Various questions for you. Were they using Steam? Were they using wireless or a cord? I am honestly not the most tech savvy but if you google "game kills internet" you'll find several different links for this happening for various games. Some more widespread (which I do not think is the case here or it would have been reported before now) due to faulty patches or other things, several due to faulty equipment or malware.
Do not assume it is OOO's fault because they were playing SK when it decided to go kaboom. It could be many things that OOO had nothing to do with.
