OK then, I've made all of my items 3* today, and I don't think that getting 4* is going to be as fun. I've thought about simply doing JK runs, which is what I crafted my Nightblade for. (though for any other purpose except for Gremlins I positively hate it)
Also, I've been also wondering how come the CE prices keep ranging from crown to crown. I do guess it's just CE sales going down, but I think there's more to it.
So the questions are:
What fun activities are there for a 3* F2Per?
If there's something other than CE sales going down that causes CE inflation, what is it?
4* Equipment and CE inflation
Well, I don't find the recipes interesting, although Mod Calibrators for Trinkets are definitely something I'd want. Thanks for the suggestion.
Yeah, I went ahead and started working on Weapon Modules while I was still in 3* gear. I like my Voltedge pretty well too.
T2 PvP is pretty fun, but you will be a lot more competitive there (at least damage dealing-wise) once you max the heat on your 3* gear. The down side to that is that it is kind of a waste to heat 3* gear past Level 5 (minimum heat required for 4* craft).
You should grind out the Twins and give the Polaris line a try too.
CE seems to cycle up to about where it is now then fall back down to ~5k cr pretty regularly. I would expect OOO to put out some sort of snazzy energy deal, possibly with a new costume piece, sometime in the near future to bolster their sales. This would be nice as it would give us lower CE prices for a bit.
If you are just grinding for crowns/heat and not really in need of tokens you should be looking for arenas instead of running JK. Pick the gate that has the most T2 arenas then time your elevator rides (use the "Gate Map" under the upper left Cog icon) so that you hit all of them (do all three rounds of each too). If you can handle the T2 danger rooms this is another fun way to get more heat out of your runs too.
I personally don't like either guns or normal-speed swords, so Roarmulus isn't an option for me. Also, I know arenas and danger rooms as excellent C+H grinders, but if they're in a status-based stratum, I can't use my freeze bomb. (which I love using) Lastly, I directly mentioned JK because I'm aiming for DA, and maybe even GF if I get bored enough.
I guess I shouldn't be calling it CE inflation but CE price cycle instead, as you say.
Same difference, it is a cycle of inflation. Franky I am surprised that it took this long for CE prices to inflate given the amount of unrest following the Shadow Key debacle. Prices are high because there are less people buying CE, but I also strongly suspect that their are also fewer people playing in general. The Halloween event is over & everybody that was willing to pay for the new Shadow Content is pretty much done with it buy now (each set of armor just needed 2 successful trips to get, providing you have the other needed mats/precursors). Lockdown is old news and even a new PvP option would only spark limited interest at this point, because most people already have whatever Krogmo items they were after.
Basically we will be stuck with high CE prices until OOO bolsters their sales with new content or attractive CE packages. The Shadow Key was a double whammy for CE prices, because it pissed people off (influencing some people to stop buying CE &/or quite playing all together) and the people that were buying CE were dumping it directly into silver keys (then later shadow keys while they were on sale) instead of selling it for crowns.
The test server is up so maybe there is something in the pipe, been meaning to check the test server forum to see what it is.
Well, you could try and do some T2 Lockdown with your 3* gear. That can be fun at times. Plus, the tokens can get you some fairly interesting recipes or you can try spending your energy for some bribing in hopes of getting a mask.(I personally wouldn't recommend it, unless you have no plans at all for crafting or dungeon runs.)
