Need T2 -> T3 preparation advice (Gear)

So I've been doing T2 for awhile in preparation for the transition into T3. I believe I've tucked away enough CE/CR to transition into T3 with a decent set of gear, and I need some gear planning advice as I've not experience T3.

What I currently equip:
3s Tempered Calibur (Beast low)
3s Gigawatt Pulsar

3s Dusker cap
2s Wolver coat
2s Owlite (Elem med)

Tons of basil only recipe learned, 2-3s
1x weap slot unlock (unused, I plan to pop it once I go into T3)
Enough mats to craft any of my recipe
1.3k CE
90k CR
Other dusty equipment: Sealed sword, 2s snarble barb, 2s barbed shield, various misc. 2s

What I plan to do in T3:
6 parts FSC runs, 4 parts other random stuff to break up monotony (maybe some solo mat runs, and party Basil runs)

I'm planning the following 4s gear set for general T3 adventuring (3 weap slot, 2 sword 1 gun):
4s Ascended Calibur
4s ??? (Avenger? Snarble?)
4s Gigawatt

4s Miracle hood (-> Divine Veil)
4s Ash tail coat (-> Vog Cub)
4s owlite

Given the budget/items I have and considering that I'd like a more generalized set to start with (rather then a specialized FSC set for example, blitz needle / DA ...etc). I can't quite decide what to use as my 2nd sword, currently the candidates are Avenger vs Snarble, or I'm been thinking of tossing out calibur for Avenger + Snarble + Gigawatt (I love Calibur charge though >.<).

The 2nd and much bigger headache is UV planning, I've been looking for a useful on each of the planned gear that I wouldn't feel too bad in upgrading all the way to 5s and get abit more future-proofing (feels like a waste to up a plain or low useless UV item to 5s). My problem is I can't really judge the proper UV I want on certain gears, and that I lack the price experience to see if I can afford it. My current AH bidding plan is:

Calibur (CTR low, I doubt I can afford med...)
Snarble (CTR low, I doubt I can find med...)

Magic hood (Either Med pierce, normal, shadow or freeze)
Wolver coat (Same as magic hood, but not same UV on both piece, except possibly double med pierce)
Pierce being a priority

Okay so after all the wall of text background info above, I'm sure veterans must have spotted various areas I could improve planning on, so please chime in on anything you see! My specific questions though would be the viability of my gear planned, and my AH bidding plan, especially what UV I should shoot for and the price range I could expect, I'm especially undecided on armor UV choices. Of course as I accumulate more CE/CR I can begin putting together specialized sets for whatever I want/like to do, but that won't happen for awhile ~

That is all, thanks for reading.

I'm not seeing anything wrong

I'm not seeing anything wrong with your armor, Divine Veil/Vog Coat is a good general loadout, does a great job against the most annoying statuses.

Calibur tends to be a "This is my only sword"- sword, through my experiences, Calibur (or any normal damage weapon- bar Nitronome) tends to be outshined by its specialized damage counterparts. For example, if you ran with Avenger(or an elemental brandish) and a Snarble barb, you'd do bonus damage to 4/6 mob types and be neutral to the other 2, while if you ran with Calibur/Avenger or Calibur/Snarble Barb, you'd only do bonus damage to 2/6.

You dont have to have good

You dont have to have good UVs to go into t3 and survive adn also getting a UVed snarble barb is gonna cost a lot since you have to roll at Punch for them

Start by doing Basil runs,

Start by doing Basil runs, and that will help you afford the gear you need. T3 is tricky, you've got to learn to shield and to play safe with your sword combos.

Hmmm good point on the snarble, I'll give up on UV on snarble. It's funny because I've wondered how people get UV on boss reward equip for the longest time... Mystery revealed!

The remaining headache is whether to pack Avenger + Snarble or Calib + Snarble, dam type wise Crown is right on the money, esp Avenger in FSC. I might just have to give up beloved calibur charge attack and bite the bullet on Avenger + Snarble combo @.@

Looks like I have the CE/CR to begin upping my gear to all 4s, so will be doing that now ^.^ Thanks everyone

(>X_x<) as if to taunt me I picked up a CTR high calibur in AH on impulse.

Is 40k cr for a CTR high calibur about right?

You don't have to drop the

You don't have to drop the Calibur, it's still a great weapon for firestorm citadel (see: killing Slag Gaurds, Trojans, Vanaduke Mask, Crowd Control).
Plus a CTR High uv on it is VERY good.
It all comes down to personal preference.

Thanks for the comment, I've

Thanks for the comment, I've done some searches and it seems for my stage it's much better to sell the Calibur (assuming the astronomic price I saw for ctr high calibur in those threads apply) to fund my way to 5* before I worry about individual good uvs.

I'll miss the calibur if I do sell it =(

I would try not to sell your calibur CTR High as much as possible, if ever you make a Leviathan out of it, the charge attack of it
it will help you greatly as mine did
