Well, there's Spiral Spy, The Equipment calculator thingy, etc.
I was thinking of copying Yppedia and having some stuff like this http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/Category:Third-party_tools
However I need some heads up about disclaimers about OOO not being responsible for anything and stuff like that.
It would basically adding a category and the pages for the tools. But from where do we link the category?. Should it be in the front page or what?

Also, a full list of tools and their webpages/etc would be appreciated from people who are aware from them, I have only followed Spiral Spy.

That sounds like an okay idea

That sounds like an okay idea to me. You'd need a modified version of http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/Template:Third-party_tool to put at the top of each tool's page.

I'd have to think about where such a link would go. Actually for the first step I will check and see if there is going to be an official stance about third-party tools like on YPP.

Sorry I didn't come back to

Sorry I didn't come back to this earlier. Since SK works a little differently than YPP, we don't have the same sort of page about official tool rules. You can create pages for SK related tools, including Spiral Spy (though Spiral Spy screenshots should be limited to the page about Spiral Spy). Just use http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Template:Third-party_tool on those pages.

Let's see how many tools there are before pondering a link somewhere. It might be that we stick a "More..." on the main page and have a more in-depth page with a lot of links. The main page should stay rather clean and easy to navigate for new players.

I'm really not a wiki person

I'm really not a wiki person (simply can't wrap my head around the editing thing), but I seem to have a vested interest in getting my lumber listed (especially since I'm currently working on several new projects). How's about sticking a link "(Player) Contributions" into the "Clockworks handbook" section of the main page that links to a category page? The term is generic enough to encompass pretty much everything from tools over blogs to fanart, yet it does not violate the clarity rule too much.

Hm

I went ahead and made a stub for Spiral-Spy here http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Spiralspy

There seems to be a slight inconsistency in that the template is called "Third-party tool" yet the category is "Third-party toolS"
So a nonexistent category gets added to the bottom of the article because of the header, and the actual category needs to be added manually.
Is there a proper way to fix it, or should we just remove an S or add an S to either the category or the header?

The article is about a

The article is about a third-party tool, thus the name of the template. The category is for all third-party tools, thus the plural. I've removed the singular category.
