example of lost accessory: If you had a 4* Heavy Demo Helm with a Helmet Top accessory and crafted it into a 5* Mad Bomber Mask the accessory would be lost because the Mad Bomber Mask doesn't have "Helmet Top" position open (there is a crest mohawk there).
If the 3* demo suit has the type of accessory location that the 2* demo suit is using, then yes. The answer in your example is, Yes.
Accessories are conserved through crafting unless the new version you are crafting doesn't have that accessory slot open. I can't think of a good example of this but it can happen.

Look under "Accessory Positions". Both the 2* and the 3* demo suits have "Armor Front" and "Armor Aura".
