So, In celebration of the upcoming Christmas season (which in all honesty seems to start in October), I've decided to use remaining mist after a run to craft starting armors and weapons, and then go to multiple Havens giving them to new players.
So far I've given:
Jelly mail
Wolver coats
Spiral plate mail
Brandishes
The reason I'm doing this is partly because of Christmas, partly because I have remaining mist, and partly because I almost missed out on this great game, because it wasn't very new player friendly or rewarding, so I'm trying to save people some trouble.
So HOHOHO ladies and gentlemen, tis' the season for gift giving!
I can't help the new players make that first big step into spiral knights without your help, so if you feel up to it, or don't know what to do with the remaining mist you have, craft and give baby.

I gave away a wolver cap
I gave away a wolver cap yesterday. The problem isn't giving the stuff away, the problem working out who are the real noobs to give it to. I think i got a real one as they put it on right away (after i asked them), then ran around all happy, they should be too as someone else gave them a calibur. The thing I hate is noobs being tricked into getting non upgradable 1* stuff, poor guy had a 1* shield and armour.
I remember another guy wanted a punch gun (I think 1* anyway), I tried to give him a firotech for the same money, he called me a scammer and said the punch gun was better, as he was so sure, I went and bought one from AH, he gave me to much money so gave him the change from the AH price. Some people just can't be helped, he seem very happy though, so I guess it was good.
"Merry Christmas" is no longer a politically correct term.
... but WHO CARES!? Bring on the PRESENTS!
