I just randomly remembered that the achievements even existed. I never hear anyone talking about it since the release of achievements, and you can't show them off either. And half of the achievements are (no offence) dumb. No rewards for them either. I might sound like I'm ranting about them, but I'm just trying to say that they could be better, but the main question is: do people pay attention to achievements?

I haven't ever heard a newbie say "I'm going to do some achievements" or "Help me I need to do this achievement" or "I'm going to do all of the achievements!" or anything even remotely related to achievements :S

Your opinion guys?

They are bugged. I got the

They are bugged. I got the "get 10 bombs" one while playing blast network, and recently got the "get 10 armors one", yet I only see 8 on my inventory. (no costume armors neither)
The only one some people care is doing a full run without dying.

Only if there were rewards

The achievements would be good if there were rewards for example you get 50 minerals of all kinds when you reach 2500 total minerals deposited or something like that. Earning them is kinda pointless right now.

While I do care about them,

While I do care about them, it's more of a, "Ok, let's do a vana run! So I can get crowns and tokens!" *Kills vanduke, and gets the Free Spirit achievement* "Oh sweet! =D" It's more of a "cherry-on-top" rather than something I actually wanted(Crowns, Heat, and Tokens.). If that makes any sense.(Kinda hard to explain it....)

I think it'd be cool if they had little prizes if you get them (especially for the harder ones). I think then I'd actually go out of my way to get them (otherwise, if I get one by doing what I normally do, yay, otherwise I don't actively try to).

"Achievements" have been around for a few years now, and they typically never give rewards. Why expect anything different?

They're just for the sake of bragging rights, or pushing players to do things they normally wouldn't bother to do. [Like trying out a variety bombs and guns, or challenging them to survive all the way through the Clockworks.]

As you said, you haven't heard any scrubs asking for help on achievements.. Now what would happen if they started giving rewards for them?

Since there are no rewards to achievements, there's generally not much of a point on doing them unless you're a completionist. I'd say that if you were able to inspect other players' achievements, there would be a bit more interest in this.

I also feel the SK achievements are too... generic. Get X items, kill X mobs, do X deathless, blah. It lacks actual different and fun achievements, that would require you to do something you don't usually do. (Examples: Bringing Totems to the elevator in Blackstone Bridge, doing a Candlestick Keep without lighting candles except for the ones necessary to open gates, activating all buttons on the third sections of Ashen Armory before killing any mobs, etc) Maybe if the achievements were a bit more interesting, there would be more interest.

Personally, I can't exactly remember when I completed mine, but it really didn't take more than a few weeks, and that's just because of the Stellar Set and Master Miner ones, and etc; I achieved the normal ones within a couple days. Perhaps we could do with some more difficult achievements? I remember Eurydice mentioning that SL achievements would come eventually, though iunno if that will be challenging/interesting enough.

Most of the achievements are ho-hum as you get them for doing what you would have done anyway. The only achievements I can think are worthwile are the gold survivor and dauntless diver achievements, and you still get those pretty easily.

I got them all already (save 10k minerals). And I didn't even try for most.
I really wish OOO would add some challenging achievements, since I don't really have anything to do in this game anymore.

I have all but the 10k Minerals one, and I can get that one any time I choose as I have about 9k Minerals hoarded right now. With the exception of the energizing a Mecha Knight most players will get the achievements just by playing normally, so I don't think most people care about them.

I did Cradle and All

I did Cradle and All yesterday.
This, along with Dauntless Delver are not something you'd do normally.
Anyway, a lot of time, a lot of fun with friends popping in and out and yes, noone cares about them, unless they haven't unlocked them yet xD.
