For the auto-target,I posted LONG after watching the video, but what I do is turn it off EXCEPT I keep the default key L-Shift that it's bound to when i need it (i use the WASD controls :3)
Important tip: Do NOT try to play Spiral Knights after Minecraft... *facepalms when he tries to shield with Shift and attack with LEFT click*
Needless to say, keep up the good vids!

Actually, most of them don't turn into 'ego trips', a lot of them are like that to begin with. Don't know where you're coming from with that one.
Yes, you did win that match, sure, and I wasn't really QQing about the pendants; I merely said that along with autoaim and lucky UVs it made a lot of sense as to why you deal a large amount of damage. I didn't even mention Skolver, either...
I'm not sure what you classify as 'owning me', when it boils down to Strikers being effective against Guardians in general, especially with a BTB or FF. The only real way to properly counter a FF/BTB is to be a striker yourself and dodge and counter rather than sit there as a Guardian unable to start a single slash because you're being poked over and over too quickly to do anything, without being able to run. I was guardian for a good deal of that match, and when I was striker, I consistently hit you rather than going down after one or two hits, so you didn't really 'own' me in that case either. In those matches, I remember doing fairly well myself, even through my two bars of lag. (IE, yellow connection) Your patterns were extremely predictable when you Stri v. Guard'd me, just circling and slashing me. And yet if you go back to the bit about not even being able to start a single attack...
You didn't make fun of 'my QQing', you were poking fun at someone elses and complaining about my ramblings about the lack of skill autotarget requires.

It seems as though, more recently, there is an enormous amount of people who take things in life for granted and like to complain about things they can EASILY fix if they get off their ass and do something about it. Most are too lazy to do so, some are too stupid, some are just trolls and a few are actually just ignorant.
Gear and setting are easily controlled and do not factor into skill AT ALL. If you do not understand this you honestly don't even deserve to have a computer.
Off forums for the night, feel free to bump up my topic though, the more video views I get on youtube, the more money my google ad account will make.

Strikers ARE effective against guardians when the Guardian in question gets stuck with one in their face spamming the first hit of a BTB/FF without an instant attack to use alongside that. Given the speed boost to swords Strikers get, it's hard to find a weapon to do that if you're not geared entirely for PvP if you don't use ASI trinkets (I don't.)

Now if you consider damage to be how you outplay someone thats a false stat. Captures and defends also mater. If you don't focus on captures or defense you can get 20k+ damage a game trust me I know, but you won't be doing your team any good if you aren't capping or even defending. Only real way to see if you outplay anyone is by having two set teams with the same skill set of players. (Now you use gear as a way to measure skill set, but yet you say its the players skill what matters not the gear). Now, to really see how you outplay someone is by having everyone on the same boat same players around each other, similar gear choices, similar uv's, and no ce to rev either,and with multiple maps.
Its your OPINION that your better than those players. My opinion is that you are not as good as you say you are since we can always find someone better, but we truly have no way to measure someones greatness at all in Lockdown, so its all opinion base.

1. You can't outright claim you're better than someone just because your score was higher than them in any given game. It's a team game and your score is going to be significantly influenced by who you're playing with, and who you're playing against.
2. Going by damage is a horrible way to compare ability. Even if Player 1 is better than Player 2, if Player 2's opponents suck at avoiding damage, then Player 2's damage score is gonna end up higher than Player 1's.
3. Again, just as Njthug said, damage doesn't win the game. It's not team deathmatch, even if that's how you think it should be played. Using 5 guardians is a viable strategy specifically because the goal is to capture and keep points. You can call it boring, but you still lost to it; Because the game isn't only about dealing damage.
Like I said, all you seem to be concerned about is how well you play compared to everyone else as a Striker. You're on an ego trip, man. Your attitude isn't one a competitive gamer can look up to, because you care more about yourself than the intricacies of Lockdown.
You can call me a "troll" or a "hater" if you want, but that's just a common knee-jerk reaction for a pretentious internet attention seeker. They're labels you're throwing on people in attempt to invalidate their opinions, which is pretty immature. You can't only acknowledge the opinions of people who agree with you. Hey now, I don't really have much interest in the back and forth in this thread as long as it doesn't concern me, but I just saw this and thought I should at least put in a word or two. I have a screenie of most of my games and I've played 8 with you so far, 4 of which I think took place after your post (and 1 which took place during LD beta haha). Was hoping I'd get matched on the opposite team before you left after that last set of 4 games, but no such luck, maybe next time :)

Why use autotarget if you don't use the last 2 hits of flourish instead? Doesn't make sense to me, unless you are trying to find recons.
BTW People, Chris is not showing off gear obviously, since every friggin 5* person has Skolver, FF/BTB, and GF
Lastly, people who use autotarget and all swings of the sword in LD are plain losers who don't have skill, and don't deserve the title of decent LD player. This goes for all tiers, and the weapon I am talking about is flourish. (Duh)

@Chris I support your case, but I disagree with your previous posts. Striker is easy as hell with guardian class health. All you do is skate around guardians and obliterate them and their shield, auto-target recons and demolish them as well, and use the extra health to counter other strikers. Not that hard when you are one of the few people with heart pendants and insanely fast piercing swords.
Chris, tell me if I am wrong too, but it honestly does sound easy with your setup. I have a question though:
Do you think you could go into PvP and play as a striker with NO trinkets, and still be able to annihilate other pvpers?
If your answer is yes, I would like to see a video. If no, then this proves that better equipment is far superior to skill, which would be yet another flaw in the game.
I do think you have skill in LD Chris. I just want to see you show it without the health advantage you have. In the unbalanced yet enjoyable world of LD, health bonuses are 10x better than damage resistances.
Should have had someone else make these videos. If you seriously want to teach people Lockdown (and not just show off gear), it's better to have a skilled player in average gear then to have an average player in amazing gear.
