I think it would be neat if, at arsenal stations, you could lend your gear to another player in your party.

Say you're at a fiend level and you have both a dread skelly and a crest of almire, and your buddy only has an Owlite or BTS or something. You could equip the dread skelly yourself, and then lend your buddy the CoA, which would give him the ability to equip it until the next arsenal station, while blocking you from equipping it yourself until said next arsenal station.

If you leave the party the equipment would stay equipped on the person borrowing it. If you start or join a different party you'd be able to equip it yourself (so that people who borrow your stuff can't just camp on your gear forever), but if you tried to rejoin the same party with the lent gear equipped, you'd be prompted by the game to change your gear before it allowed you to continue playing. (like, it'd keep you in the invulnerable "I'm still loading the level" state while you choose some other gear)

Lending

While it's an interesting idea, I feel that it's only going to end up encouraging begging during a dungeon run, and we already have more than enough of that going on. We'll end up with people going "oh, but you've got tons of 4-5* gear, pleaaaase let me use one since you already have awesome equipment for everything else", and I can imagine that getting annoying quite quickly.

I'm not completely against equipment lending though, as I believe it can be a good way for newer players to test out different equipment - especially the higher ranked ones, which cost quite a lot for anyone going through the full alchemy line - without investing their time and resources into something that they're never going to use again. However, lending should not be completely free. I think something like a 10-20% tax for everything earned (crowns, heat) in a dungeon should go from a borrower to a lender for each item borrowed. This provides both an incentive for weathered players to let starting players borrow their equipment, and an incentive for newer players to start making their own equipment rather than rely on other players.
