Going solo or getting kicked: locks party or not?

Yesterday I was on the way down to RJP and a friend sends me a message and asks to join. The party leader I'm with is seeming like a bit of a dick, so I decide to go solo at the end of a level and invite him. I go solo by the elevator, but before I get the chance to lock the party and go down my party fills up with randoms.

Today I jumped in a random on the FSC gate and ended up joining some party at Basil. I have no idea who was in it because I got booted while loading, and then once I loaded I got a bunch of randoms joining. In the same run I went solo at the start of D25 because someone else in the party wanted to invite a friend, and just a few minutes later on the same level a friend ported down to me and the party filled up again.

Did the anti-looping party lock go away? Does the game just really, really hate to see me dungeoning alone?

You can press F6 while

You can press F6 while loading and lock the party so that does not happen.

when you go solo, the state

when you go solo, the state of the party weather it was locked or open will follow you, if you go solo on a locked party it will be locked, if you go solo on a open party it will be open. just do as tuhui stated lock the party. now i dont know what triggers it but seams as if you have a full party then kick someone it becomes restricted till you go to the next depth.

Looping? I thought that was fixed since the "arena looping", but it couldn't be called looping in your case. Did you mean "skipping?"

I know with at least Depth

I know with at least Depth 23, you are allowed one free 'Go Solo' before your party becomes 'Restricted'. I'm not sure about the other levels though.

From what I understand, each party is allowed one 'go solo' or kick per depth before it becomes restricted, any depth.

Nope, it's 1 kick = restricted party

:o Really? I could've sworn that I've kicked someone and then invited someone else right after. It's been a while though, so I could be remembering it wrong.

Actually, there was a party yesterday in D23. Leader kicked someone and then another person randomly joined. Maybe it's only for terminals that kicking doesn't lock right away?

@Xairathan

Nope, it gets restricted after the 2nd kick or "go solo" (tested).
