POLL: What's your favorite Clockworks level type?

I'm curious. What are your favorite level groups, and why do you like them? The sunny Aurora Isles with their Jelly Farms? Or the more ominous Candlestick Keeps? Vote for the one you like most! I'll keep a running tally which I'll keep updated. Maybe.
Boss stratums are separate because they're speshul. Vote for them separately.

Current as of post #30
Personally, I'd go with Scarlet Fortress levels. I love the atmosphere of it; it really feels like an actual exploration rather than "kill everything that moves, and some things that don't". The layouts seem well thought out, and overall tend to be less linear than some other maps. Aurora Isles comes close (Jelly Farm!), but eventually I get tired of mowing lawns. :P
Gloaming Wildwoods for boss stratum, <3 Snarby.

non boss map: Wolver Den and Decon Zones tied as my favs
Wolver maps = bushy tail, warp dust, primal ore, etc......good for making cash
Decon zones = I run around and gather as much gremlins as I can and make them follow me while i throw DTB/Levi/DA charges back at them :D it feels good to see 20+ gremlins die together. makes me feel OP XD
boss map: FSC and Ironclaw Munitions Factory
FSC = money making
IMF = the only boss fight that doesnt inlcude pure "O-HEY-THAT-THING-IS-MOVING-AND-LOOKING-AT-ME-IN-AN-INAPPROPRIATE-WAY-SO-LETS-GO-BASH-ITS-FACE-IN" kind of fighting. The switches makes it seems more like a puzzle than a straight forward fight and that makes it more appealing to me than all the other ones.

Construct! Gremlin level. I forget what it's called.

YEAH Deconstruction zones are sexy. I love them just for the music! :) And for the Gremlins. Don't see too many of them in the clockworks.

And Candlestick is a really good challenge. Your pick up group will be tested, LOL.

In that case, most of my PUGs failed the test. x(
Totally not my fault. *shifty eyes*
Half-votes whee

Wolver dens are my favorite maps... they are predictable in terms of spawn spots and amounts (in the final stage) but whether or not it's wolvers all the way or some Chroma or Polyps adds the right variety. Either way, you end up with just the mats you want for profit.
Boss stratum... hmm. I've done IMF so much I can breeze through it, but I'd say RJP is my favorite. Levi charges just sound and look good with jellies.

normal stratums (strat 2 offcourse is better but i do enjoy these)
jelly farm, wolver den and Scarlet Fortress
boss lvls
royal jelly pallace and FSC (i would like RT runs if it didn't lag that much)

I found my first "wild" rock jelly in Stone Garden, so add that to the jelly farm levels and Aurora Isles is still my fav. The Jigsaw Valley levels are pretty awesome and even fairly challenging at points, so I'll give them props too. +1 each
Scarlet Fortress has Spiral Court, so it fails immediately. Also the gun puppy gauntlet in Grim Gallery really sucks if you're solo and don't have a gun. It would otherwise be a favourite, such a shame. +0
Concrete Jungle is pretty awesome, says the guy with both a virulisk and seraphic set (and silvermail to split the difference). Toxilargo? Bring it on! Sadly both the Totem Trouble levels are too short. It feels like you're just getting started, and then you're at the elevator. +1/2
Clockwork Tunnel levels are great. I'm starting to go in a lot more danger rooms these days, turns out not all of them are as bad as that lumber/wolver room, or the gun puppy one. +1
Wolver Den? I have a Spike Shower now. +10,000
Lichenous Lairs are pretty cool, and put some good miles on my nightblade, but lichens must be made out of liquid kevlar or something because they take sooo long to kill. +1/2
You missed Devilish Drudgery on your list. +1 for making everyone fiend-rage, but -1 for taking a swingline to the face on a few map tiles that mysteriously slow the game down for me.
Dark City? See wolver den: spike shower = easy mode. But only +1 for lousy mat drops.
CSK has great atmosphere and a neat play mechanic, but it feels like they just set it up as an obstacle course rather than a level. Also I'm not terribly fond of surprise spawns, kinda breaks the illusion of the game.
Decon Zone: zzzzz. Running around finding keys is so 1990.
As for the boss levels...
FSC gets +1 for zombies and trolljans, but -1000 for crappy framerates. Also the duke fight is annoying and tedious.
IMF gets -1 for shock and retrodes, and -everything for crappy framerates.
RJP gets +10 for so much jelly, but -5 for being nothing but a series of arena battles.
GW gets +10,000 for Sir Snarblebottom, and -9000 for being only 3 levels long and T1.

high chance of ghost bells and love the atmosphere

Non-boss strata wise, Arenas win hands down. I love seeing the 3rd stage go by smoothly with a good team--almost as much as I love having 12 rocket puppies blow my face off. :p
Bosses...hmm. Twins/Snarby are the easiest with a bad team, JK is moderately hard, while Vana is terribad with a team who don't know what they're doing. I'd vote Vana for being the most fun and/or awesome with a good team though.

Candlestick keep levels. They are fun to run in the dark. And the best part: no fiends. (:
-edit-
For boss strata, I'd say Ironclaw munitions factory. I really like FSC, but I haven't completed a run though there yet. I probably would have by now, but people keep putting fiends before it. So IMF gets my vote.

Boss Levels: IMF and FSC (1/2 each)
In non-Boss levels, Concrete Jungle gets half my vote. Lichenous Lair the other half - I LOVE gathering giant colonies and shoot them to death. xD Feels almost like a mini-boss.

Aurora Isles by far. Maybe it's the atmosphere... maybe it's the Jellies. I don't know. I find it the most fun of any of the level types.

I like Scarlet Fortress mainly because of the background art. Among those, my favorite is Grim Gallery because of its format. And the rock jelly :D
My favorite boss stratum is Firestorm Citadel because ... well ... I like evil flaming things in general lol

Starlight Cradle is the best set of levels.

Aurora Isles, as you can just sit back, not think and let the jellies fly, I particularly like the Heat farms I & II. I prefer the run up to JK, but prefer the RT boss battle.

Aurora Isles.
And for boss stratum I prefer Ironclaw Munitions Factory and Gloaming Wildwoods.
Cheers,
~W

Devilish Drudgery

FSC

Clockwork Tunnels, random is the best, danger rooms are the icing on the cake.

Briar Bone Barrage & Gloaming Wildwoods
For Boss level atmosphere hands down I would have to give it to Gloaming Wildwoods. The hit and run Boss teases were a great touch too (really messed with me as a new recruit).
*edit* Sorry Briar Bone Barrage should be counted under Concrete Jungle, though I only really like CJ when takes over the stratum as a mini-boss set ending in BBB.

Jerks. :< (I kid, I kid)
Added Devilish Drudgery, thanks for pointing that out.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to include Arenas and Graveyards simply due to their reputation as money fountains, but I suppose I'll throw them (and Treasure Vaults) into the list as well. Come to think of it, I could probably separate those off with the other random stages and keep special, static themed levels in their own category. But that's a lot of categories.
Aurora Isles and FSC are pretty popular!
I don't like FSC. Lagstorm Citadel. >:(

Dark City and Fiend Arena. IF you must pick one, pick Dark City.

deconstruction zones da BEST
SMOOTH JAZZ INCOMING
the gameplay itself is boring but i sit at the elevator for 5 minutes listening to the music. its called "construct hq" if u wanna listen on youtube
Aurora Isles and Royal Palace.
Pink cubes, the most harmless enemies ever.
