What's the diff? WHB is stronger/does more dmg? As a bomber, which should I get?
Difference on Wild Hunting blade and Venom Striker 5*?
FYI, this should be posted this in the arsenal section. (Use the edit feature)
I suggest neither if it will be your only sword.
What do you need to use the swords against? Specific mobs? Or for just single mobs when bombing would be too slow?
Do you have any other sword at the moment?
I wouldn't chose either. Not that those swords are bad or anything but I wouldn't recommend them to use in endgame/tier3. I've never used WHB but by the looks of it I think Dread Venom is more effective.
WHB does more damage against beasts only while VS has a (small) chance to poison the monster. If you like being in a support role, the VS is better since poison allows all party member to do more damage. Realistically speaking though, the poison makes little difference when it's a normal monster, and the only boss that poison really helps against is JK. As a bomber, you can drop DBB and do more damage than the WHB against beasts anyways, so I'd say to go with VS.
Well, I'll be equipping many different haze bombs. Poison, freeze, fire, stun etc. I carry my mobber sword for greavers and other mobs, a Troika atm. Going for a shatter. The cutter I have are for single mobs yes. I have a calibur but I like the cutter more since of it's speed. It's good assistance on monsters when ganging them. I have 4 slots. My main status is supportive bombing.
Have you considered Winmillion? =p
No?
You haven't?
Well that's a shame, because it's far and away the second best sword ever, second only to the Proto Sword.

Anyway, I'd say make a note of the enemies that cause you trouble as a mist bomber and pick a sword (or gun maybe) that specifically deals with those.
the venom striker has poison and the hunting blade is wolvers there about the same
Personally im also a bomber. I'm not going to go over what everyone has said already. If you're looking for something to quickly take out menders (healers), id actually suggest getting a barb thorn blade. Its fast, and lunges, so healing enemies cant dodge so easily. Also as its piercing it allows you to quickly dispatch wolvers. Although, if you're going to have a DBB (although it sounds like you're a haze bomber), that shouldnt be a problem.
I'll frequently play status bomber going 1 sword + 3 vapor bombs. That one sword is likely to be Normal damage, unless you wanted to switch to something specific like a Flourish for the Devilite Drudgery or Wolver Den. So for normal swords your options are narrowed down to:
Leviathan - The charge attack is great when paired with Shivermist. I'll drop a Shiver, do two Levi charges then drop another Shiver. In T3, each Levi charge can do almost 1000 damage per creature. With some careful kiting you can freeze multiple mobs together and hit them all with the charge. It is pretty sick. Also you can quickly solo many rooms in FSC with just Shiver + Levi, speeds up some depths like Charred Court. The downsides of Levi is that it has a Brandish-like arc and swing, so it can be annoying when trying to hit a Greaver or a Mender that is dodging back. This is my favorite sword when carrying three bombs.
Dread Venom Striker - A bomber typically switches to their sword after a good deal of damage is done and it is time to take out stragglers. The potentially lower DPS of DVS doesn't matter when your target is almost dead. Its quickness means you can continuously interrupt fiends and corner Menders easily. Turrets and large targets (Lumbers, Trojans, Vanaduke) are easy targets. The problem with DVS is that it is really easy to get mobbed if there are a lot of monsters around, like in FSC. But a bomber surrounded by monster is what bombs are made for, so this isn't really an issue, just drop a bomb :) DVS >>> WHB. The aesthetics is all WHB has going for it, the damage boost from Beast High is negligible.
Troika - It is slow. A bomber probably isn't going to be wearing full Vog or have Sword ASI trinkets to overcome its slowness. Plus the damage is just sad, it takes soooo long to kill something in T3. I'll still be working on one monster when the party has finished clearing the rest of the wave. At least it has a wide arc and good range so that Greavers and hordes of monsters are manageable.
Winmillion - Heh. This is actually a really fun sword to use... in T1. It is eternally frustrating everywhere else due to the projectile and moving every swing.
After I got all the bombs that I wanted I started working on a larger variety of swords. Now I usually carry two swords and two bombs. So my armor and trinkets are a mix of sword and bomb bonuses, depending on what I'm wielding. Because I'm carrying two swords, one is rarely normal. But for a very long time it was Levi + Three Bombs and that worked really well for me.
I am a support bomber*
