But the good news is that it's Sinful Steps and Plazamonium. Easy-peasy!

Only status level is a fire-themed Devilish Drudgery at D21, but it's on random with a graveyard, and everyone has fire-resist anyway, right? Then just another DD and it's on to basil.

If anyone is afraid of T3 fiend levels, this is the gate to hone your skills on. Just devilites and kats as far as the eye can see (unless you happen to random into the one clockworks tunnel level on D21, but it's non status so the greavers won't be too bad).

T2 looks nice for those looking to skip the 500cr subtown fee. Jellies in S3, Freeze with a graveyard and arena in S4.

Sadly no wolver dens or jelly farms, though. I guess I can't have everything in one gate. (Though I just noticed that both of those are up in S5 on Jade Pawn. Maybe it's about time I got my gold survivor achievement...)

I hated the fiend stratum right before FSC with a passion when it first got there, but now that it's gone, I'm grateful. I got a lot of practice taking down fiends, and I like my piercing sword a lot more now.

"Pray for a graveyard"

I'm sad because the game sneaked a Treasure Vault in there.

Yep, no point in newbies

Yep, no point in newbies running FSC anymore. Once you hit the core you're done with the game.

personally I use my crystals

personally I use my crystals to try influence stratum 2 4 or 6, not 5 3 or 1. It's those levels after basil that are worth running anyway :3

Greavers?

I hear a lot of people dread these...but if you want a really good weapon for countering Greavers, get a Striker.
No, seriously, grab one and Greavers will soon become one of the easiest enemies in Cradle to deal with.

@Shidara You know, I hadn't

@Shidara You know, I hadn't thought of using my striker on greavers. My main beef with them is they always end up sliding around behind me between the time I start swinging my sword and the time the sword hit would have connected, even with the wide first swing on my snarby. The striker is definitely the most spammable sword, so it would probably work well for them.

Maybe it's finally time for me to bump my striker up to a Vile... or would be, if CE weren't so expensive right now.

Strikers > Greavers

I'd say it's worth it if you're having troubles with them. Thanks to my Dread Venom Striker I've never had any troubles whatsoever with Greavers. Of course, I'm past that point now and can easily take them out with a Flourish-type, or any other sword, really.

Ah yes, another tip is to run backwards and let them zoom into you; that's when you quickly pull out a single strike to flinch them. Once there's only one left you can proceed to kill it off like a Silkwing. Of course, this won't work as well if the rooms small/cluttered enough to back you into a corner..
