Well,i found myself in situation where i got my avenger and i dont want to take any gun with me unless needed(Vanaduke).
I have Avenger and second spot ready for:
Spur line weapon:Arc Razor
Calibur line weapon:Tempered Calibur
Wich is ´´better´´ to combo with my Avenger?
Also can you suggest better pistol than Argent Peacemaker?
Equpiment Question
Avenger is Elemental/Normal. The best sword to pair this with would either be Piercing (Final Flourish or BTB) or Shadow/Normal (GF/Acheron). Which combo would depend on the stratum you are in. Better yet carry a sword for each damage type and a sidearm.
I love the Valiance (5* Blaster, Normal damage) for solo work or any time I think I may need to gun down wolvers and gremlins (resistant to Elemental). Swordsmen tend to prefer Elemental guns though because usually they only really shoot turrets and most are weak to elemental (exception polyps which are neutral to elemental). The Polaris is a very popular choice for an elemental sidearm (upgraded Pulsar from Roarmulus). Polaris can be annoying in groups if misused, because it has high knockback and is very blinding to teammates. The Alchemer line of pistols is a good choice for an Elemental sidearm. Nova Driver (Primatech) for maximum damage or one of the others if you want to inflict status (sacrificing a bit of power from the shot).
I'd suggest you reconsider the spur line as it does not have a 5* version. So if it has to be either of those 2, take the calibur line since its useful most mobs. Though since you already have an avenger (elemental) it might be better to pick a shadow or piercing weapon as your 2nd, instead of a normal type. As for the gun, all weapons are situational. So if you want something useable for everything, valiance is best. Personally im not a big guns person, but I do suggest the polaris. Its elemental, causes shock, knocks back enemies, and is useful for blocking off enemies. If it really must be a normal type gun, and you dont want a valiance, theres also the supernova. Its a normal type version of the polaris, but doesnt give shock. Really your choices just depend on your play style.
Edit: Looks like I was a bit slow on this :)
Calibur or Spur would pair better with your pistol (for 2 slot loadout), because they are Normal and weak to nothing.
My fav loadouts are:
Voltedge // Avenger
Dark Thorn Blade
Silent Nightblade
Gigawatt Pulsar // Valiance
or
Ascended Calibur
Voltedge // Avenger// Dark Thorn Blade // Silent Nightblade
Gigawatt Pulsar // Valiance
Shivermist Buster
When I ran 2 slot I was pretty much just straight Calibur & Blaster.
Please remember that my gun is not utility its only for must-have-gun places as firestrom citadel boss...
I actually like spur line because Winmillion has 6 slash combo with each one fire small projectiles...
Well it is a nice sword, who knows, they might even make a 5* version for it. If you're going to use a gun for fsc its down to AP or Polaris. I generally like polaris since its good for alot of things. AP would literally be only useful for Vanaduke runs/hitting switches in twins runs (which pretty much covers your needs).
If you are straight up only using a gun for FSC the Blitz Needle will get you through the Boss fight the fastest while the Polaris or AP might be handier for the run up to the Duke. There I go again ignore the part about the Polaris & AP.
I were to only have a gun for Vanaduke it would defiantly be the Blitz Needle and I would favor CTR UV if possible, because the charge attack does crazy damage to the Duke. It has a steeper learning curve then most guns though because you are glued in place while firing and the sweeping motion of the charge attack means that you can't be to far away if you want to land all of your shots on a single target.
As for sword to par with your Avenger, I would go ahead and grind out a Faust as well (if you like the Avenger's attack pattern). Your life with wolvers and fiends (especially in T3) will be much, much easier if you also grind out a Snarble Barb (only ~4 runs) and start working on a BTB as well. Then once you have an Elemental, Shadow, and Piercing blade you can select the 2 most appropriate swords for whatever run you are doing and hit bonus or neutral to all enemies. Also, keep in mind that you could pick up a Weapon Slot Upgrade on a night that you don't have time to play for only 150 CE. Then you could run all three damage types all the time & be ready for anything.
Who needs guns on FSC?
Sun shards or a snarble's charge is the way to go! Around 160 damage per shard/spike.
Or dancing with the slags while your party does the job is also a valid strategy.
Yes, I like to cut costs.
Also can you suggest better pistol than Argent Peacemaker?
Better in which situations/against which enemies?
As a general utility sidearm I'd suggest Valiance.
