I can't really stand it. I find its charge hard to use without getting hit, and I find its attacks slow, even while I'm wearing Vog.
I'm considering getting a Fang of Vog, as I tend to spam charge attacks, and I already have a brandish (Acheron).
Should I get it?
I'm getting tired of my Divine Avenger.

Combuster or Voltedge, but not Glacius?
In choosing a sword (or setup of them, or of guns, or of swords and guns), damage type is the primary consideration. Your choices for elemental are Combuster, Voltedge, Glacius, Divine Avenger, and Fang of Vog. The Brandishes are quite nice; for example, in regular attacks against a single enemy they do the most damage per second.

Well, you can either get FoV or an elemental brandish to fill the gap. I recommend an FoV (if you have the resources ATM), because you can always bring along fire resistance trinkets, right?
Oh, and if you don't want the Divine Avenger anymore... well, let's just say that i would welcome it with open arms :3

Do you like the Acheron? Because if so, sounds like three-swing swords would be more of your style.
FoV = slow as molasses, but a ton of fun. Considering the number of hearts dropped, I like to spam it in T2 while wearing full Fire protection. The burn isn't that bad. In T3 though, health can be more scarce. Have to be cautious not to kill myself.

I really, really like my Voltedge. Good status infliction for FSC, and doesn't mess up kiting like the Glacius can sometimes.
Also free recipes just for grinding lockdown.

Course I love my Acheron!
It's my favorite weapon, hands down. It's simple to hit things with, and it comboes remarkably well with my Electron Bomb, but I don't
think I would like to have two swords that have the same style of attack, so yeah.

The only reason I love my DA is for the charge. Then again, I'm doing FSC 90% of the time nowadays, and zombies are very easy to use the charge with. If you do like charge attacks, definitely don't go for FoV. No matter how great your fire resistance is, you will catch on fire every so often, and it's a waste of perfectly good health IMO (this is why I never use my FoV charge or my GF charge xD). I'd say to go for Combustor if fire is what you're after, though Voltedge and Glacius are quite good too.

I have an Avenger with only a low speed bonus and I am fine. I do not know what you are on about. You have a very high speed bonus! But I do not use the second swing that much and only charge it up just before steeping on the party buttons. Read the tactics on http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Swordmaster_Guide. Regarding the Glacius
Glacius, I find, is the "better" elemental brandish due to it's status. Freeze, while it can refreeze Ice Jellies, won't supercharge them like oilers or quicksilvers will when hit with their respective elements. Also, the freeze can be very useful for setting up other players charges (like the DA for example :P).

Agreed.
The FoV was a big disappointment.
It is slow and unwieldy and the charge attack isn't worth the status effect chance... but then again that's why I chose the acheron over the GF as well.
If I were you I'd go for a Combuster or Voltedge.
