This is crazy, not that I'm complaining but Energy prices are skyrocketing.Long time ago the CE prices were only 1000 crwons, now it's over 7000!!!!!!The Spiral Knights company should lower its price or other players are going to blow up buying CE.While rich people with lots of energy that sells energy are all rich of crowns cuz they are buying with real money ,and selling them for crowns!!!!!!!This is what is happenning:
1.CE prices skyrocketing
2.Richer people get richer
3.Poorer people panic
4.Throws spiral knight economy into chaos
5.people quit
6.??????
7.WTF HAPPENED?
Energy Prices Skyrocketing,It's a bad THING!!!!!
You could always try to flood the market with cheap CE to bring the price down..... People always talk a big game, but when it comes to *insert sports analogy* they back out like *insert rap dis*.
Oh man, not this again now its just matter of time that appear another 2 threads of people whinning about people whinning of energy price... thanks Annilaton... just stop buying energy that will make price down... usually i dont mind about this.
but now its get a bit repetitive and flood the forum with useless threads:
"OMG ENERGY PRICE ITS SOOO HIGH"
"RAWR RAWR RAWR STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT ENERGY PRICE"
"RAWR RAWR RAWR STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT ENERGY PRICE"
"RAWR RAWR RAWR STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT ENERGY PRICE"
"OMG ENERGY PRICE ITS SOOO HIGH"
and then... born the circle of Complain...
Seriously that its not fun. Want energy price lowered? just stop buying it.
Actually, I don't see why OOOs should do anything. Like you said, people who spend money benefit more from the CE prices now, hence resulting in more people spending money, which then pays for things like salaries and servers.... Therefore, what is happening is good for OOOs, just not great for you personally. The only real way to stop this would be to stop other players from buying CE.... by encouraging boycotts that no one cares about, I suppose.
@ rangerwill Sorry to be a grammar nazi but wouldn't be 691st not 691th?
Also new drinking game: Go through the forums and take a shot every time you see an article about energy prices, First one to die wins!
"Just not great for you personally" oh really? majority of players are complaining about CE, not mentioning those who dont have forum acces.
If all you can say "stop whinning", "deal with it" , "omg another CE complain thread", " ignore them they will go away" you are extremly narrowminded and you dont see long term results of what people with unknown motives and OOO made with CE market.
So what's the long term of benefit of CE being less valuable and therefore less attractive to players making them less likely to spend real money to buy CE that OOOs needs to pay their costs?
Correct.
Sometimes just put posts quickly and don't review them.

Buy CE, prices will go down.
Encourage other people to buy CE, prices will go down.
Stop complaining on the forums and in-game because you are too cheap to pay for a game that you use as entertainment.
I can see it now... best-buy starts giving out tvs, people complain about the tvs not being big enough.
Lawl.
Do like Chris. Spend hundreds of dollars a month on a free to play game. Happynehz guaranteed.
i would say that gaining new players is important to the long-term growth of the game. And that new players are more likely to "stick" if Ce is around 5500-6k.
I know when i was starting out, if it would have taken 7k to buy 100 ce, and crafting costs were as they are now, it would have taken a lot longer to play and progress in the game, and i might have turned away and found something else to do. But as it was, crafting costs were considerably cheaper, and i could buy ce at a reasonable rate (vs the T1-T2 runs i was doing) so i was able to progress at a pace that encouraged me to log in every dya, use my mist energy, craft up items, grind for another 100 ce, repeat, repeat, repeat.
By the time they made crafting changes, and by the time CE sky-rocketed (the first time), i was already hooked and somewhat savvy enough to manage the new gaming environment. However, it would be very tough to initially get into Spiral Knights given the current "economy."
I agree about the energy costs getting too high, however organizing a boycott or demanding OOO to manually lower the prices is lucrative. In order for the CE prices to drop there needs to be more people selling CE than people buying. So what if OOO created a larger need for crowns? For example adding a new area (PvP or PvE) that requires crowns for entry? or maybe an alchemy option that cost crowns and not CE.
I find it kinda' funny that you capitalized "thing" instead of "bad".
Its a high price now, but we dont like whiners like you.
Stop posting these threads
Learn how to manage you money cr and ce alike (Or take an economics class and actually listen in class >.>)
Or quit because you are impatient
We would ALL like it if you did the above 3 things.
Wise up and learn how this game market is played. That's all i can say to you people anymore since you refuse advice.
Now let's talk about beggars...
You all arent seeing the problem from the right angle! The problem is not that the CE isto high, the problem is:
The rent is too dam high!!!
Yes, yes! It's the darn rent! I still owe 1200ce and a few more crowns to my Snipe Landlord!
CE prices are only high right now because of the currently available Elevator Pass in the cash shop, which is basically an unlimited supply of energy for 30 days, at a cost of a measly $6. People are taking advantage of these to make bank in the clockworks, since they no longer need Mist/CE to fund elevators, and the unused Mist can go towards revives, Danger Rooms, and Energy Gates, instead of being in situations where you might need to otherwise spend CE to access these perks.
When the Elevator Passes expire and are removed from the shop, CE prices will begin stabilizing again.
Wait... Prices were at 1000 crowns for 100 CE...
WHAT!?
As someone who just forked over 7400 crowns for my first 100 CE, that almost feels like a slap in the face. While I disagree with the whole economic panic the OC described, I think they are a bit too high.
Well, let's put this simple. Those who are rich in ce by buying them with $, actually benefit. However, what will happen when the wealthy run out of ce? Will they have to buy more and more ce each time? I doubt it very much. As a result, we would all experience detrimental effects on these rising ce prices.
Rhetorical Question:
--> What happens when prices for products rise in the countries we live in? If it is happening over in where you live, is it good or bad? Based on this question, you should know how terrible it is for ce prices to rise.
Can't read, learn where to put some commas and decimal points.
And we really don't need the 691st topic on this, and what do we need them for?
Please stop spamming threads.
Cheers,
