Bet you thought that green shard would be close enough to reach? Nope, Chuck Testa.

It's not exactly worth enough to summon a GM, but if one happens to be reading this thread and wants to mail me a green shard to make up for it they're welcome to it.

I thought it was just me!!!

But mine weren't on the other side of a gate. They're going on the other side walkways etc going to the lava or whatever waits below. And not just shards. Everything that gets dropped goes when it happens.
