Is there a reason why we can't have it and we're getting a version where we need to capture points?

As far as I'm aware, the levels are still within the games code along with the title cards for 'em as well. Including the following..
Clover Arena
Twelve Points Arena
Twelve Points Arena 2

Is there a reason for us receiving lockdown instead of Super Brawl? I'd love to be fighting with the shield I have equipped for normal runs.
I'd also really love for a developer to answer this question. :)

Lockdown used to be that way too. They had to fix alot of things before it wasn't.

Can you imagine a 3v3 team arena last man standing version of this with balanced damage? It'd actually still be good to use the lockdown classes for something like that. Would be amazing.

Wow, that looks awful.

I imagine the reason we got Lockdown is because plain-old Spiral Knights deathmatches don't work very well. The normal mechanics are no good for PvP [Too boring, little room for skill or strategy.] and the equips aren't balanced well enough.

This is probably why they gave us a method of winning that isn't directly tied to killing as many people as possible / doing huge damage.

@Sinistermackz: Obviously you'd need the right gear to be that powerful. Magnus was already powerful as it is so that's no surprise. You should really find a Super Brawl video of someone who isn't Magnus because he always wins. I'm sure if this was you, you wouldn't be complaining. :P

Even though I never won every match, I still found it to be fun, entertaining, and challenging which made me want to keep playing it and playing it..

@Tazurin: Personally, I'd love to walk around freely rather than absolutely HAVING to capture points. I'd rather love to kill people / do huge damage. I feel it provides more of a challenge for yourself to be more powerful. I also think it's a better way for the leaderboard rankings to be more precise with it's users and who comes up on top. During matches, yeah, it doesn't provide much strategy, but it forces you to stay on your toes. This is what I like.

Oh, and it had a better way of managing what tier you were in and arranging matches based on your tier.

For all we know, a user in the top 10 can be only in the top 10 by being in good teams and always winning.

However I do understand your reasoning.

So I'm beating a dead horse about this.

I just want to simply say, I don't find in favor the odds of winning a match in lockdown to be in relying in your teammates and the skill of those said teammates. Because that's what I'm seeing nowadays. You can be a poor player and still win a match without doing excessive damage. People can come at you and you can be a prime target for them to pray on. This, I don't like and doesn't make for an impressive/fun game.

Moreover, I like the thought of you winning a match to be in the hands of yourself and relying in YOUR OWN SKILL to play this game. Magnus' videos were all Ultimate Super Brawls. OHKOs were commonplace and everyone can OHKO (How are you supposed to balance this anyway? You don't. OHKOs was on ultimate brawl, because damage there is doubled. Something you'd find in a Recon player's danger timer). Not to mention, if you notice in the videos, you pretty much had an instant revive when you died. Something that costs you CE nowadays. I'm sure this was made possible so you can instantly get up and fight on without any interruptions or waiting around during a match. Again, which I dislike.

I'm surprised nobody really feels this way and instead prefer lockdown over this. Other than saying there's too many OHKOs and simply saying 'it sux', I'd love real and in depth explanations of why people say this.
