To my concern, recently ce prices have risen quite a bit, making Spiral Knights much harder to play for players who don't buy ce with real-life money.
For those who believe this is beneficial to them, here's my reasons why I object:
--> If ce prices go higher and higher, won't it be detrimental to us all in the long run?
--> Even if you buy ce with money now, won't you run out? And when you DO run out, how are you going to deal with such high ce prices.
These are just some things I would like to share to all Spiral Knights players. I would be very happy to answer any more arguments with a straightforward answer:
What happens when prices for products in any country/society rises? (not mentioning Spiral Knights)
To the OP: Yes, this has been discussed many many times, a simple forum search will bring up a lot of threads discussing exactly what you ask about.
To the haters: As long as the exchange rate of CE is the most annoying thing in the game, so annoying that it motivates people who have never read/posted to the forums before to come post, there will be new energy complaint threads. Don't like it? Convince OOO that the exchange rate needs to be below 5kcr (e.g. add more crown sinks), because at about that level, these threads stop being created. Or, just ignore them. You are better off talking a walk down by the sea and decrying the rising tide, your words will have more effect on the ocean.
