Forgive me if this has been noted before, but I have not seen anything about this in the wiki's swordmaster guide.
It seems that whenever I use my Acheron's Charge attack, the following two attacks count as a part of a combo with it.
Has anyone else noticed this? It seems kinda fun to use with my sword.
Just something I noticed about charge attacks with my swords..
I couldn't really notice the numbers in all the explosions that happened, but do you know if or if not if counted as a final hit, as in I know it has the animation of the final hit, but I don't know if it did that damage.
Now that you mention it, I've seen it, too, but didn't pay much attention (because I almost never use the full combo - it's one-two-shield, or one-shield or charge)
Another fun fact: if while the charge animation plays you release and press and hold attack again, you'll start charging without swinging first. This is more prominent with the biltz needle that has a large charge attack animation though.
I've noticed this, yes. It does the first swing after the charge attack, then skips to the third, and retains all the properties of the third (damage, attack cancel, etc.) With DA you can only do the first swing again (very powerful against frozen enemies or lumbers where you can hit with teh charge AND the followup swing.)
The recharge works with Blitz, but I don't think it does with most swords. If you want to charge again without attacking, shield cancel the charge attack (generally a good idea anyways,) and as soon as your shield pops up, press attack. After a second, you can release shield if you're safe and you'll be charging, or, if you block an attack, you'll block it and start charging. This has saved me a number of times, and increases your efficiency a lot if you spam charge attacks a lot (I have a CTR med volt edge I like to spam a lot.)
There appears to be a timer on the swords. That's why when you unleash a charge with your Acheron, your next swing is a normal swing but your last swing is a "final" combo swing.
