So this evening I'm sitting by the AH trimming some dead wood out of my friends list (why must it have a maximum? WHYYYY), and I get a random trade request. Being that I'm not much in the mood for being interrupted, I dismiss it and continue on with my business.

"500cr plz" the guy says.

"500ce plz" I respond.

"Ok, trade" he says.

At this point notsureiftrolling.jpg, so I send him a trade request.

I punch in 500cr.

He enters 1000cr. For some inexplicable reason.

Then he deletes a zero, makes it 100cr.

So I delete a zero, making my side 50cr, and hit confirm.

He puts his side down to 1cr, waits a bit, and then closes the box, swears at me, and rage quits.

This game can be so strange sometimes.

I've had some similar things

I've had some similar things happen:

people filling the box with every 0 and 1* mats hoping that I'll buy, and when I put in 1 cr and hit confirm, they reply mostly:

"dude, I said {fill in amount}!! don't lowball me," despite them initiating the trade with no provocation.

Pwahaha, I don't understand beggars even on my best days, but this is hilarious in the most head-scratching way. What did he expect to happen?

Also, friend list has a maximum? What is it? I have, like, 60 people so I've never been near the limit.

@Myllakka I think I was at 130 when it gave me the error. Seems a strange number to limit it to, though.

As I save my minerals to try

As I save my minerals to try and get a +4, if I ever find myself without the entrance fee, I dump some of them into a less profitable gate so I have the fee.

He said "i reprt yu HUEHUAHUEHUAHUEHUA"

Five minutes later I got an email saying I now have a warning against my account.

E-beggars are dangerous.

@Nicoya-Kitty

I heard the maximum was 250-ish. I have 200+ friends myself, so why it gives you an error at 130 is very odd indeed.

hmm...

For fun I play poker with the poor saps...

How to Play Spiral Knights Poker:::

Your opponent (being the Beggar) places a bet (Blue Shard x1)

You place your bet, and maybe raise the bar, so you set (Blue Shard x2)

Opponent (being the Beggar) starts to put up random materials, say.... (Brimstone x4, Bronze Bolt x8, Dark Shard x4, Red Shard x15, ect. so that it reaches the full 15 slots)

So you go, "Wow, impressive" And then happily place your bets of (5* Mats) and watch as they clear all their mats and click confirm, leaving nothing behind for you. You sit there and laugh and either tell them to hit confirm "cause you did already ;D" or tell them your mouse died "cause it did ;D" or simply AFK "cause you did ;D".

Either way, you get a kick out of the show and at the same time, show off your impressive materials "cause you did ;D"
