Anyone who have one, can you guys confirm the wiki information?
If true, why it got that downgrade on level 5, supposed to be the best of then, right?

Skelly is bad, so no one really cares.
It's costume like Jelly.
It's costume like 90% of the armor sets in this game.*
Pro Tip: When only four of your twenty-two 5-Star armor sets are worth using at all, you took a design misstep somewhere in your itemization.
Such is life in the zone.
*cough* for the record, which 4 would those be?
*pulls out small pad and pencil*
Volcanic Plate, Vog Cub, Volcanic Salamander, and Divine, if I recall correctly.
whoo-hoo :) good thing I'm going for the Divine Hood! I like the look of that set too.
although I don't get how you use those sets that since aren't going to be balanced, and lean toward two other damage types. shields aren't going to save me from everything else..
"Endgame" in this game currently consitutes Fire and Shadow, by and large.
Omega Shell is the shield you should be packing. Grey Owlite is also good, or so I've heard.
Thanks, I'll focus on these 4 sets then.
Divine has no Normal defense, so not that at all. Just ask Slag Knights.
It was Vog Cub, Volcanic Plate, and Volcanic Demo.
Also, end-game doesn't take Shadow defense because zombies are absurdly easy to avoid being hit by, but Vanaduke does deal Elemental. Shadow defense would only be for people who can't handle the Citadel itself, and definitely not for the Duke of Almire.
I got Divine and Grey Feather mixed up, sorry. And I keep forgetting Volcanic Demo exists.
:(
thats okay i was actually going for the divine hood with some gear that has the oppositive defensive attributes. i wanted to go for well rounded then tackle gear for specific purposes. so it might be awhile before i'm doing boss runs but no worries here
Anything without Normal defense on it is, in general, going to get you wrecked.
While I agree with that assessment, it also begs the question: Why are there no enemies which exclusively do other damage types? Pretty much everything does normal damage, so there's no reason to use something that doesn't have normal resistance. But what if later on there were a majority of enemies that did nothing but piercing, or shadow?
There are a lot of enemies that do piercing/elemental/shadow in deeper tiers.
But, it's better to protect against the majority than the minority. If Three Rings made a larger number of enemies do pure non-normal damage, it'd be impossible to have good defenses at all unless they put huge amounts of everything on each item.
It would actually be better to have armour which is more specialized, after a fashion. Consider a situation in which a shadow/element resistant armour is actually useful, such that all the enemies for a given tier are expected to use those types of damage. This is equivalent to a run where you can expect normal and something else to show up.
Good to see my thread being this usefull. =)
It sounds like the problem isn't that a lot of 5* armor isn't useful, but rather that there's only one tier 3 boss and he has a specific element associated with him. Introducing a non elemental boss, or a boss whose element is something other than fire would make other armor equally useful to those currently deemed "best."
As the first person in SN to obtain full Dread Skelly, I can agree that their balancing of armor sets is completely broken. I would like to see Nick or any one of the devs actually post something saying "Hey we have this and this in store for you and were working on re-balancing this and that". No, we don't get that. We get an update every other week that fixes small bugs and no notice if any thing we post in suggestions is being taken into consideration, or if anything people are complaining about on the forum is being worked on.
Holy... nobody??
Maybe it's &*($% after all...
Edit: Don't use profanity on the forums.
