Ever since I got a faust, I've kept telling myself I'm *saving* my charge attack for ideal situations but in reality I just don't ever use it. The increased damage output never seems worth the risk of 40(?) seconds of curse.
So I thought I'd ask other faust or gran faust users: Do you ever use the charge attack? And if so, in what types of situations?
Well it curses on normal attacks and interrupts enough that it's not really worth using.
There are better ranged mob control options, as well as better charge attacks in general.
But the Gran Faust is the king of Normal Attacks.
the only time i ever really use charege attack is when theres millions of gun puppies and i just get frustrated and spam charge which is pretty rare
i suggest using faust to spam jelly king since you do invreased damage and kill jellies inl like 1 combo and save up tokens to get an avenger but besides that faust charege attack is well a little tacked on i think its just there to be there i suppose
there might be situations were it does help but i just dont think theres enough to use it or waste remedy pills
I have some curse resistance from my UV armor and I use the charge attack fairly often. I've never been cursed since I got my Faust, and the charge attack does massive damage to jellies.

On topic: I don't own this weapon, but I've partied with several people who do, they usually do use the charge a lot and stack up on stat cures in case they get cursed (however they often die if they lag and keep attacking while cursed =o)
I use it against monsters that attack quickly or there are healers in the back that I can't get to. There is a good chance to cause curse with the Charge attack, and anything that is cursed dies pretty quickly if you constantly bait attacks from them when they're cursed.
I also shoot it out when there are a lot of monsters, because it does a good amount of damage if you can land the initial hit (the melee slash that comes out upon release).
Status cures aren't reliable, since they, themselves, can be cursed, making it so you can't use them without taking damage. The best counter to curse is having 4+ weapons, since the curse only locks out half your weapons. If your weapons are all fairly balanced, you can just switch to another until the curse goes away.

Those are my weapons. I will always have a weapon that I can use against everything if two are locked out due to curse.
Personally, I never use the graun faust charge attack I have a DA charge attack....which I use all the time I rather not get charge. Only time I see people use GF charge attack is in mob controlling besides that its pointless.
