If I get Damage Bonus against : Very High and Sword Damage Bonus: Maximum, would that mean attacking a monster of the mentioned type with a sword get Rank 10 damage boost?

Nope, I'm afraid to say that the Very High damage bonus gives nothing because you already have Maximum. So in the swords with damage bonuses are nearly useless.

All of your "damage vs"
All of your "damage" bonuses are automatically converted into "damage vs" bonuses. Hover over your equipped gear on the character sheet for more info.
I did some very light testing on this, and the answer I got was No.
I believe it caps out at a maximum of +6, which is.. well.. Maximum. [Wearing full Skolver + Barb Thorn Shield would render all your swords' +Damage UVs pointless.]
But I was also testing with a 1* equip and the numbers I was dealing with were like.. 11 ~ 15, so it's possible my results were messed up. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
