where has snarby gone?

i've been playing sk for 2 days and reading the guides on the forums. i've seen people talking about snarby runs but i have never seen a gloaming wildwoods or a boss stratum in the clockwork maps.am i doing something wrong?

The Snarbolax is a beast
The Snarbolax is a beast themed boss, so look for the gate with the beast icon (the three yellow scratch marks) second from the top in the arcade. As Shidara says, you'll find the Gloaming Wildwoods at depth 5 through 7 on the gate map when you approach the correct gate. (note that there may be more than one gate with a beast theme for stratum 2, however the Gloaming Wildwoods will only appear in one gate. Looking for the beast icon in the theme tower thing just makes it quicker to narrow down which gate to look at first)

u might want to buy a
u might want to buy a flourish and/or go with a more experienced person if its ur first time.
also some piercing def (wolvver/cobalt/spiral scale) wont hurt.
i know u read guides, but, i know, i just cant hold back SOME advice.

It's all normal in Tier 1, so it doesn't matter if you bring a magic set or a wolver set.

Yay.
Yay. I killed Snarby for the first time, i'll collect tokens for the bristle thingamagi. I'm using wolver set with calibur, is flourish better?

Flourish will be more
Flourish will be more effective against beasts, but if you collect tokens for the Snarble Barb that would also do the trick as it is almost identical to the Flourish.
There are four active gates to choose from, and all of them are guaranteed to have a boss stratum within them. Approach the gates and look at the gate map, Gloaming Wildwoods should be clearly visible without scrolling, found at Depths 5 through 7 in Stratum 2, Tier 1. Boss stratums have special icons that stand out from the others, making them even easier to spot.
Try again, and you should be able to find it.
