I don't see anything new that we don't already know about... In fact, the "energy explosions" and "ability to swap gear in dungeon" is already in since a while ago. And we are also on Kongregate now ^^u How much time has passed since you did the interview?
The only thing that caught my attention is the "exploring the Core" bit. I wonder how it will fit in the story, with the lore about Shadow Lairs explaining that the darkness wants to take over the Core... it seems we will have a "worst case scenario" if that is where the story continues.
PD: I would have liked to see the comments and reactions in your article but it seems that you have to register there, I wonder why some sites still do that.

So we will be able to explore The Core some day. Glad to hear that. It is referred to as a "frontier" too, sounds mighty expansive. :)
Possibly new holiday themes and new coliseum games, but no details. They want to "[incorporate] Lockdown-style gameplay into future content releases"??? Maybe we can use those shields outside of Lockdown after all? That would be so fun yet weird.

Well, but this has been linked here in the Spiral Knights forum where it was said that it would contain "awesome information". And I just said that there is no "awesome information" because it has already been written here in the Spiral Knights forum.
I know that this interview is more for non-SK players.
Awesome Information? Where? Those are the same things it was already shown in the test server and explained in the "What's in Development" thread.
