Now comes the question, should I try to roll a UV on it with Punch (and get low vs gremlin or something useless), or just sell it as-is?

It is outclassed by Nova Driver, the UV thingamajigger is up to you.
I'd try to get a buyer as it is then if I can't the first couple days, put a UV on it and see what you get.

@Flamaxe/Rangerwill Not planning on keeping it, no. Given that drops are unbound, even if I did want one it makes more sense to sell it and craft another. That said, I'm on the volt line with my alchemer and I'm gonna stick with that, since the firo isn't very useful in FSC.
I think I'm leaning towards rolling a UV on it. Since I'm not buying much energy these days I don't have a whole lot else to do with all these crowns I'm farming with my elevator pass.
Besides you got it for free you're not putting that much expense into it
