Are accessories destroyed after upgrading with a recipe? or do they stay on (I am to coward to test :p )

are trinkets worth buying or making yourself?

quick-strike vs focus trinket which is better for a swordsman? are elite trinkets worth it?

this topic might not be for everyone but I thought that it would be nice to have a reference for those players that are new and have the CE to waste in this

EDIT: Thanks for the help everyone. Trinkets do make a huge difference in game-play, and now I know which accessories to use on my gear. You have all been very helpful and quick to respond, and for that you all have my gratitude.

Don't know for accessories,

Don't know for accessories, but there are a lot of threads on it. Search one.

Trinkets are worth making yourself. Except if you find one for lower than crafting price, there is no reason to buy one (you can also exchange some tokens for trinkets, but those ones are generally less interesting).

Quick strike vs focus really depends on your sword and how you play. Do you use a charge often ? (for example DA, calibur) Then go Focus. Do you play mainly without charge with slow swords (DA, Faust) ? go Quick strike. Do you play with fast swords, without charge, and don't need additional ASI ? go Slash.

Seeing that you can only use 2 trinkets, yes, elite trinkets are definitely worth it once your 2 slots are filled.

About accessories...

Accessories stay after crafting, as long as the crafted equipment still has the slot of the accessory after crafting. For instance, crafting an Ash Tail Coat with a Ghostly Aura into Vog Cub will keep the aura as it has that slot, but if you upgrade it to Skolver (which doesn't have it) it gets destroyed.

Yes, Elite Weapon Modules are

Yes, Elite Weapon Modules are worth it.

I made getting 5* Weapon modules a higher priority than even getting 5* weapons and I still feel like that was a great decision. Also, remember that there are helpful shields too like the BTS (Sword DMG Med) and the Swiftstrike Buckler (ASI High to both swords and guns). The Swiftstrike is not viable for T3 though unless you happen to move like a ninja.

Trinkets are worth it to get,

Trinkets are worth it to get, and aren't too expensive. (I highly suggest you buy a trinket slot upgrade from AH, unless you have full mist. They are 7k last time I checked.
Quick-strike > Focus; put to better effect in PvP. It's a close one though.
