Well you would get banned for a reason.
So you must have broken the ToS in one way or another. 70$ is nothing if you don't abide by the ToS.
I know no one reads it, but its still there, so OOO still has the right to ban you.
And I would rather send an Email to OOO instead of raging on the forums.

Did you buy CE? Or did you buy crowns with real money? Buying CE from OOO won't get you banned... buying game currency (crowns) with real money is against the ToS of all MMOs and will get you banned. If you did not buy crowns then odds are you did something that broke the ToS outside of that.
Either way put in a support ticket, the GMs do not talk about bans on the forums, http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/1413 .

You didn't get a permanent ban if you can post on the forums, I believe.
Forum bans and game bans are independent of each other. There have been quite a few players that I've known of that have been forum banned and continued to play SK and YPP for years. There have been all too many players that are banned from the game that post useless threads to the forums. There have also been a few players that have been in-game banned but have posted very constructively to the forums.
