First official solo Vanaduke kill tonight. Wasn't pretty, I played it safe with AP and had no Shivermist, so it took a long time, well over 20 minutes. And I did have to revive once (although it was in Phase 5). But I defeated Duke solo.
Feels good.
I've made it through FSC solo once so far, but it ended in Phase 1 of the duke fight when I took a mace to the face.
Time to get some 5* armor...
My first no death solo just happened to be with a peacemaker, it's actually right around the 20 minute mark once you can get it down. Though as of yesterday I discovered I don't even need a gun for FSC anymore, or a bomb for that matter, it was considerably easier too. Also Nicoya you can add me if you want any help with that in the future, since I seem to be doing it a lot now anyway.

Khamsin, deaths count. Not everyone is perfect.
Theoretically, anyone can solo vanaduke if deaths count. It may take thousands of CE but you could get there.

Having to CE rev means that your solo is less of an achievement than just rounding up some bros and doing a vanaduke run. That's why it doesn't count.

I revived once, and it was with ME, not CE, cause I had a full gauge due to my pass.

See Khamsin, you're trying to invalidate an achievement that few can accomplish because of some silly superficial standards that most people aren't forced to abide by due to resource limits. "You did FSC/Vana solo, grats! Oh, but you revived, so you suck." I don't look at a death as a failure, merely as an extra resource to be expended. If I have the ME to revive (I wouldn't waste CE on it, only ME that I don't even use much of because of an elevator pass), why shouldn't I? Why shouldn't it be allowed, taking advantage of something the game offers you?
Don't be so elitist about it. I see the ME gauge as extra lives.
Why does it matter if it was ME or CE? The point was that anyone could say they solo'd vana despite having no skill at all because they can revive-spam their way through it (and that isn't to say you have no skill, nor do I mean to belittle your achievement - I just think no death solos are in their own category).
Well this thread is for any successful solo attempt, not no-deaths only.

Feel free to take advantage of anything you please. Just like you can run FSC with 3 of your bros, you can take advantage of anything you please to complete an FSC run. I'm not coming up to you in game and telling you that you didn't clear FSC, since you did.

i think what he (khamsin) is trying to say is that anyone given even decent gear and enough ce, can solo vanaduke, so this thread should have been more focused on no death solo runs. I may be wrong though.
If that was the case, I'd have titled the threat "Sign here if you've cleared FSC/Vanaduke solo without a single death."
But I didn't, because I'm not yet good enough to manage that. Players who can do that are in a class of their own.

Yes, latency does make a world's worth of difference.

And I'll just throw in the fact I think the Polaris is more versatile than the AP, and more reliable for Vanaduke.
That first solo kill always feels awesome though, congrats :P

I actually almost didn't bother doing it because I was really bored and felt like playing something else, but did it anyway because I wanted to keep taking advantage of my pass while it lasts. So I got down there, and low and behold, another solo victory, this time with no deaths. I did use 2 pills though.
But I did it. Happy now Khamsin?

No deaths, all rooms (including puppy room with fixed DA).
I only did D24-D27 solo. One death in Trojan room at D25 at the bottom left corner and one death in D27 at the last part second wave (surprised I didn't die at the hardest wave). But then again I only had two 5* gear (I have another one but it is not so appropriate for FSC).
I tried to solo Vanaduke but failed. Did pretty good at stage 1 and 2 where I took damage twice (and I was using Strike Needle) and at stage 3 things went terribly wrong with the sea of shadow fire I tried to extinguish...
The Rocket Puppy room is quite easy with the Shock Pulsars.

Soloed with no deaths, steam pics to prove. I only used one pill, too.
I also do not own an Argent Peacemaker or Blitz. Soloed him using Polaris. Shock is a godsend occasionally when it interrupts his charge in phase 5.
not fun to do it that way. takes forever. won w/ argent peacemaker. Now I have to think of something else to do w/ my time when there's not a shadow lair about to run.
Haven't done it yet solo with no deaths, but then again I haven't tried it with my full gear. (Other than my first time)
Soloed Vana with 3 deaths in Proto armor and shield. And also did the run up to vana with only one death in proto armor and shield. Before trying that I did vana solo once with 4 deaths. Still trying to do it without any deaths but haven't had the time to do it again yet. Had one attempt where i got to the last phase without dieing on Vana when my computer had some issues. Which have since been fixed.

Ive done it and yes it does feel good congratz on your accomplishment. my average solo time with ap is about 10-15 minutes. getting through fsc isnt too hard after I got used to always inviting 2* and 3* guildies to come along with my gf and I when were doing fsc so having less hp mobs when solo makes it quite easier. vanaduke alone is not that hard once you figure him out, and as long as you keep yourself a clear run way ap is the way to go if you want an easy solo, you can forget about the slags cause they will be charging where you were and shouldnt come in contact with you if you never have to stop moving. I would say phase 4 is my trickiest part in a vana solo just cause ive yet to come up with a good way to do good damage plus get water before theres too many little balls flying around, i usually end up using about 1 clip of ap and grabbin a ball of water, rinse and repeat till phase 5 starts.
