I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling SK & I am still getting this error:

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/594703803894698417/6C2A5794498171E6E8D...

"We were unable to download the necessary files after five attempts. You can try running the application again, but if it fails you may need to uninstall and reinstall. 0% complete"

This has happened on my steam account, IGN: Dracuva, and on this regular account.

Thanks

This patch is giving me

This patch is giving me trouble too. Although I can begin downloading it, it stops after a while, and then just stays there. Then i try shutting it down and restarting it. The longest ive let the installer run for was 40 minutes. Usually it only takes a few minutes to download

@Bluescreen: Check the

@Bluescreen: Check the launcher.log and see if its looping on a specific set of files. There are 3 common errors that result in "Pants!", so we'll need to see which one your running into.

@Tim and Haem: The pipes might be overloaded at Amazon with all the shopping traffic, etc, so wait an hour and retry. If it keeps stalling on you guys, I'll zip the update and upload someplace (any suggestions?).

In a support email, Coriolis

In a support email, Coriolis instructed me to try deleting the /rsrc/ directory manually after uninstalling SK. I ended up manually deleting everything in the /spiral/ directory along with an uninstall/reinstall, which worked for me.

The Spiral Knights folder can be found in the following locations:

Windows Vista/7 Web Client - C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\spiral
Windows XP/2000 Web Client - C:\Documents and Settings\\Application
Data\LocalLow\spiral
Windows Steam Client - C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\spiral knights
Windows 64-bit Steam Client - C:\Program Files
(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\spiral knights
Linux - /home//spiral/
Linux Game Prefs - /home/user/.java/.userPrefs/projectx/prefs.xml
Mac Web Client - ~/Library/Application Support/spiral/
Mac Steam Client - ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/spiral
