Are elevator passes worth the money?

Okay, so we all know about the elevator passes by now. In short, they let you use elevators for free for 30 days. When I say free, I mean it doesn't cost energy. What it will cost you is £3.79 of real cash.
Now, I'm stingy. I look after my money as if it were a newborn child. I'm reluctant to spend money on this game, but I have to admit, unlimited exploration would be really useful. But before I make any decisions, I want to gather information on it; it it worth four pounds to get a month of unlimited gameplay? Can the elevator pass be stored for a reasonable length of time? (I plan to activate it this Christmas, so I can get more use out of it, since I won't have school) and overall, your opinion on the pass itself. I personally see it as a good deal, but I've made bad choices in the past. So, what are your thoughts?

If you would even consider buying CE then the elevator pass is a no-brainer.
I'm far too stingy with CE to burn it on revives or gate fees. So, when the mist was gone I was done for the day. This limited play time to a maximum of 2 hours a day and I had to time things so that I was running with something close to full mist in order to to get anywhere.
Now, I've had no issues getting my Cradle and All and Dauntless delver achievements. I go where I want when I want. Buddy needs help on a level poof, I'm there. Need to heat up some low star gear to cook it up to the next star level run T1 and T2 a couple of times. My whole outlook on the game has changed with the elevator pass and I, for one, will be sad to see them go because I find $5.95 an acceptable price to pay on a monthly basis to have the game delivered to me in this way. I'd like to see them made tradable just so I might be able to obtain them without paying with my own cash.
Having mist freed up for revives, energy gates and crafting makes it far more fun, imho.

I recently began playing and took advantage of the deal since it began about when I did. What it really boils down to is if you'll play enough to justify the price you'll pay. For instance, will you be doing enough to use all your Mist Energy stores regularly enough to where your elevator pass is carrying its weight?
I enjoy having the elevator pass and using my stored ME to produce cheap 2* items in my hunt for UVs, or put people on my elevator tab, and so forth. It means I can keep playing as long as I want to without feeling like I NEED to make enough crowns to pay for more energy to keep playing. If you don't see yourself playing enough to use out your mist energy every day or you don't mind being patient until you can earn crowns easily enough to trade for CE when you need it then I wouldn't do it.
Finally, you may consider using that money to buy just flat crystal energy if you DON'T play very regularly. That way you aren't pressured to try and get the most of your month and you'll have a more permanent resource available to you to use at your leisure.
So in summation as someone who bought a pass I enjoy it but realize that if I wasn't playing spiral knights as my down time right now I wouldn't be playing enough to really make it worth it.

Firstly, as earlier mentioned, a pass cannot be stored. It is auto-activated from the moment you purchase it.
Secondly, at its current price relative to the price of buying CE with real money, the Elevator Pass is far and above the best possible purchase for your money if you regularly spend your Mist Energy running the Clockworks on a daily basis.
Not only does it permit you to run unlimited elevators, which lets you play however much you want(and make a bunch of crowns/mats/heat), since you do not use your Mist Energy, you can use that for crafting/revives/gates/danger rooms/etc.
Also, if this is your first purchase, what it also does is allows you to create a second account with its own separate Mist Energy, thus doubling the amount of mist you can use for crafting.
The cost of a Pass amounts to purchasing ~2000 CE at standard rates. This is worth about 140,000 crowns(at 7k/100CE). It is possible to make a great deal more than that in a month of unlimited gameplay, not including the energy savings from having your full Mist Energy available for crafting etc.
If you actively play, and decide on P2P, it is a no-brainer, imo. (so unbalanced it hurts, and I own a pass)

Well right now I don't use much more than my mist, since I'm careful with it. And since I have school, I can't play very often, so I was going to store it until the winter break. If I can't buy it and store it, then I'm better off waiting until the holidays to buy it (if it's still out.) As it is, I wouldn't be playing enough to make good use of it.

If you play Spiral Knights for more than 2 hours every day, then yes.

Is elimination of the elevator fee for a WHOLE MONTH for just $6 or $7 worth it? I don't think this requires much though to figure out. You can grind for crowns and other stuff ALL DAY without doing so much as touching any Energy. This equates to (literally) thousands of crowns per day, which means hundreds of CE per day.
It's pretty effin' worth it.

@OP
Yes. Im buying one tonight so you know its good.
Lol. Doesn't the pass activate once purchased? If you have it in your bag right now, you better hurry up using that thing, haha.
