If you have read any posts by Sunderius that guy is me. I decided to use my Steam account for the forums. Anyways, i keep trying to validate my email adress to get the Proto crest. But everytime i go to my inbox on Gmail (do not question why i don't use Hotmail)I try to validate my account and get a page where i can: contact the support team, re-send the varifiction email, and try to validate another email adress. Now i question if Proto crest's are even avaliable to Steam accounts.
proto crest not an option for steam accounts?

similar story here. Except I'm not even steam and I didn't get one. I signed up for the newsletter using the website link on the home page since it had disappeared from the spiral uplink in game. And nothing. I wouldn't have expected it to be a "limited" offer so long as they have the signup somewhere.

The newsletter needs to be signed up for from the spiral uplink link; if it's not there, try doing one of the surveys to free up space in the news section. Sorry for any confusion!

I run SK on steam and I signed up to the newsletter through the in-game news thing, and as soon as I verified my email I got my crest.

My Psychodestroyer was created originally on Steam, not a converted account. I have the Proto Crest.
Are they still available? I stopped getting the surveys after I got it, so I can't tell.
But anyway, I answered a few surveys, then the 'Get a Proto Crest, sign up for the SK newsletter' came up, I clicked it, signed up, then I got it.

When you follow the link from
When you follow the link from the validation email, you need to be sure you are logged into the website with the same account you are using in the game to sign up for the newsletter. Check the account showing in the top right before you click to validate. If it isn't the same account, click the link to log into a different account. Once you've done that, go back to the game and you should be able to register for the newsletter there and receive your accessory.

My steam account has one. It fits perfectly on my Proto Set.
Steam account user with a proto crest obtained with zero issues on day one of the release.
