I'm currently in T2 and now that I've got a hang of handling it I've started expanding my equipment options from just the Tempered Calibur and Blaster I was using before. I'm wanting to pretty go swords exclusively, and I've already picked up a Nightblade and am working on upgrading another Brandish.

But on the piercing front I'm just not sure between the Flourish and Snarble. Flourish seems pretty basic and would get the job done, but I'm not impressed with the charge attack. Would it be worth doing another 3-5 T1 runs to get a Snarble Barb? I'm F2P so that would mean 3-5 days devoted just to getting the Snarble... what does everyone else think?

Well...

There only real difference between the Barbarous Thorn Blade and the Final Flourish is their Charge attacks. So ask yourself this: "Do I plan to use my Piercing blade to combat multiple or single enemies at a time?" The Flourish's other two branches are not recommend by the majority of players due to their low chances of Status Effects and low Damage output. You could get them if you really want to for some reason, but again, it's not recommended.

The other difference is with

The other difference is with UVs, if you want to buy a weapon with UVs already on it it's going to be a lot cheaper to do that with the flourish line because the snarble is a boss token weapon so even the 2* weapons need to be unbound. I mean, the good UVs are still going to be astronomically expensive but you can get asi low or med vs some creature types for just a few thousand extra.

Considering you are F2P, you

Considering you are F2P, you are probably not going to try to have a UV that soon, but Warlordx have a good point for later.

The only difference is the charge attack :
- flourish is some huge steps forward doing maximal damage on one mob (or some more if you aim it very well/ on a vortex), so it's not really safe
- snarble barb on the contrary, is a step backward, doing a close combat swing and firing some projectiles in a wide arc (up to 8 at 5*), which is very safe and aoe.

For those reason, while flourish charge is valid, snarble barb's one is much more usable, and that's why it's more popular (considering that you don't get UV before a while).

Lockdown or Normal Monster Fighting?

From what I've heard, the choice depends on how much Lockdown you do Vs. normal delving-

Flourish
-Charge is good for Lockdown- you can just fly up from the bottom of the screen and impale your foes
-Charge is not as good against monsters unless you are back-stabbing a Trojan. It will kill most fiends easily, but so will a full attack combo.

Snarb
-Not as good for PvP- thorns have short range, and it is incredibly dangerous to get close enough for enought of the thorns to hit the target, though the normal attack combo is same as Flourish, and works very well in PvP
-Charge is good for pack of Devilites and Wolvers, as well as being extremely spammable. CTR UV+ Snarb line+ spam charge= Fiend/Beast Overkill

Also, on another note, if you do get the Flourish, do the normal non-status line. Flamberge and Rigadoons do less damage than than standard non-status Flourishes, but they have a status. The status doesnt actually occur often enough to actually be wirth the lesser damage (Less than 10% chance of happening)
