Best route to take in Clockworks? In terms of Difficulty/Crowns/Heat.
So what is the best route to take in Clockworks which is possible to complete for a moderately good Spiral Knights player and get a fair amount of crowns/heat?
Always go for Firestorm Citadel and Lord Vanaduke?
Always go for Jelly Palace and Jelly King?
So far I am always doing Jelly Palace. There is usually Arena before it so it is nice too.
I just got an access to tier 3 dungeons and never was in firestorm Citadel but I can imagine it will be so hard for me and probably impossible to complete with my current set - Silent Nightblade, Dark Thorn Shield, Seraphic Armor and Helmet.
Need advice from experienced players. Thanks for all the answers.

You will die almost instantly the moment you catch fire wearing a seraphic set in fsc due to its negative fire res - not recommended :/

^ Or upgrade to Armor of the Fallen instead of a new set. But penalty against Trojans :(

The rewards from Firestorm are better (especially if you're able to unbind FoV's and Blackened Crests and sell them), but like you said with your current setup you are going to have a lot of fun trying to accomplish anything there.
Upgrade to Armor of the Fallen for Fire and Shadow defenses. The weakness against Trojans is quickly countered by a Blitz Needle: one of the two ideal weapons for FSC. Also, get an Avenger. Since you are running RJP a lot this shouldn't be a problem. Get it up to DA and you're set for FSC.
Thanks for the answers you guys. I was going to upgrade to Armor of the Fallen set and I have enough tokens to get myself some Sealed Sword. I guess I'll just go and buy it right now.

Another option, rather than upgrading to AotF, is to get a second armor set such as the magic line (which is also useful for Roarmulus. Not great for the direct payout, but awesome for the token rewards). You'll probably wish you had a Valkyrie set rather than AotF once certain guilds organize again to put fiends in front of FSC.
Basically your flammability should be your first concern, followed by elemental and/or shadow defence. I'm personally working towards a Grey Feather Mantle and Volcanic Demo Helm. Other options might be: Divine Veil and Volcanic Plate Mail (you'll get a mix of a fiend buff and an attack speed decrease), Pure Grey Feather (stun weakness can be annoying, you'll get stun from trolljans, mace hits and falling debris), Vog Cub (if you're the furry sort), Arcane Salamander (hard to get and beast and slime buffs aren't very useful), Volcanic Salamander (slime buff again isn't too useful, but can come in handy with the odd super blast cube and oiler). If you don't mind neutral flammability, the deadshot set gives a good undead buff, but is otherwise useless to a non-gunner until its 5* form.
And yes, you'll want elemental and piercing weapons.
Stick with JK until you get a new sword preferably an elemental one
