Those pleasantly corpulent birds in Haven are, indeed, adorable - but there's this weird thing where some of them are always flying, and others are always on the ground. It would be pleasing (and, at least for me, add to the ambiance) if individual birds would land or lift off from time to time, switching between the flying model and the ground model. Alternately, come up with some in-game explanation why some fly and others walk (perhaps gender differences?) and have one of the strangers talk about it.

And I pay really close attention, like seriously. I've spent probably half an hour at a time just staring at the cute little snipes. Or trying to mimic them by running around in circles like an airplane.
And if they really do land/take off, then the argument should stand that they should do it more frequently. Literally, I sat down just now and intensely watched two different snipes (one flying, and one walking) for about 10 minutes, and neither of them changed actions.
My boyfriend says that he's seen one take off, but even so. I think the majority of them should, and do it every like, 3-5 minutes. I agree with the idea that it would add more to the ambiance, as well.

I have also spent a lot of time watching snipes, and never seeing a takeoff or landing. I have seen flying snipes drop for a moment (without landing) and then propeller back up to flying position, but that's not the same thing.
I've seen some land and others take off.
Pay closer attention.
