As of December 12, 2011 (which would have been the Fourth Day of Spiralmas according to the prior setup), the event has changed somewhat dramatically. This is primarily due to unforeseen academic issues on my part, and I apologize for this.

Now, the event is more simple than ever. Anyone can participate in this event simply by posting on this thread. Please note that the event is now based on 12 days instead of 11.

What should I have in my post?
Well, if you're familiar with the Christmas classic The Twelve Days of Christmas, you're all set! All you need to do is post a quick Spiral-Knights themed version of this song.

What you mean by "a quick Spiral-Knights themed version"?
What I mean is a shortened version with only the last verse, that has something to do with Spiral Knights. The obvious part is that you should replace all instances of "Christmas" with "Spiralmas". For example, consider replacing each of the 12 gifts in the original song with 12 Spiral Knights-themed items - or, you might instead (or also) consider replacing the "true love" part with an appropriate Spiral Knights figure (NPC, Monster, etc).

The event started as of the positing.

The event started as of the positing. The Days of Spiralmas are 11 randomly chosen days from December 3 to December 24, inclusive. Each Day of Spiralmas will progress once a winner has been selected. Note that each real-time day is not necessarily the next Day of Spiralmas, as the Days of Spiralmas will progress only after the winner has been chosen for each day. :)

The days only go by as the last one was finished. The Days of Spiralmas do not necessarily go by as real-time days do. :)

Also, for those of you posting but not mailing: you may wish to mail in-game rather than post in the case you come up with a really good one. Otherwise I may be unable to distinguish the original creator, and thus will be unable to consider the questioned submission. :(

On another note: it's great to see all the competition! This event seems to be much more successful than the last one... xD

It's eleven because it's Spiral Knights themed, and is only intended to be a minor reference to a certain song. :) Also, feel free to post them here one at a time - just beware of the (albeit not very serious) risks.

It would be best to post one at a time. You can post eac day as we progress through the days. Also, the first winner will be selected tonight - which makes the First Day of Spiralmas December 4th for this year. :) You can start posting for Day 2 tomorrow!

Please note that because the prizes will become increasingly valuable, the first few prizes are more for fun than anything. The last few prizes (not to mention the very last), however, you might consider gifts of their own. ;)
