We all know the heartache of seeing a love puppy or harmless little mewkat pop up in an arena or a "clear all monsters for the gate to drop/next wave to spawn" room. Like it or lump it, we need to put them down to move on.

It'd be nice if, instead, they'd already count as dead, or not count as part of the wave in the first place, so that we could leave them be and still progress in the level.

Then maybe there is a bug or something there (I never left a red rover alive 'till the end on that room)

Hey, I recently had a Love Puppy spawn in that exact same spot, and the gate went down as well.

The only situations where I could think of where "Kill all enemies" doesn't mean "kill all enemies" is with mini jelies in the RJP... maybe it was stealth patched?

Not hiding a double post at all! Nope!

Oh, and there's also the bottom-left room in FSC, where only the Trojan needs to be killed to free the sprite.

Nope

-1, as if you have an infinite health resource at the start of an arena or before a big spawn it would make those situations too easy. You must sacrifice them to the elder god of the Core to continue!

I recently had a love puppy

I recently had a love puppy spawn on a JK run, and it didn't appear to count. When I killed the other gun puppy, I got the next spawn trigger, and when I cleared the room, the gate went down. I was actually counting on the love puppy not to count, since I didn't want the next wave to trigger yet.

Uh, Love puppies really don't supply that much health, even when you are trying to catch the hearts that go by, it can be hard to get them. Love puppies are nice, they can completely recharge you after you are done fighting, but the really don't make the fight easy. For arenas, you can't go back to earlier sections anyway.

@Juances That room isn't a

@Juances That room isn't a "kill all enemies" room, though. I discovered this when I killed all the zombies before taking out the trojans in the second zombie wave, and ended up with the third wave and two more trojans spawning. Other rooms in FSC are like this as well, you can end up with Red Rovers or Blast Cubes sticking around after the gate has dropped.

@Algol-Sixty If it's the room I'm thinking of (end of Red Carpet Runaround), it's a dual spawn wave room, much like arenas. The jellies are in one spawn wave, the puppies are in the other. Thus, if you kill the jellies and leave the puppies alive, the next jelly wave spawns.

Anyway, an example of where you can't continue without killing the love puppy: http://steamcommunity.com/id/nicoya/screenshot/595829703815510196

If I recall, impostacubes

If I recall, impostacubes don't attack either, so can we add them to the motion? :)

A new suggestion?

@Psychodestroyer; You're right! I've never noticed until now that love puppies have elemental warning marks (aka green circles and lines at the enemies feet [lol to SK wiki]). Maybe OOO need to change it to a white warning mark (which would be healing) like gremlin menders?
