1. Divine Avenger.
2. Gran Faust.
3. Argent Peacemaker.
4. Shivermist Buster.
How's this for a Weapon loadout?
The damage type of Argent Peacemaker may be changing soon, as discussed on another thread. But why have you picked it for your gun? It's decent against undead and fiends, but pretty bad against everything else. Conventional wisdom has it that guns are really useful for taking out turrets and other immobile/slow monsters, and these are disproportionately constructs and undead, so the most useful single damage type on a gun is elemental.
I used to play with a similar setup (DA, GF, Shivermist), and it does work quite well. In some sense, AP can't hurt, but a different gun would be more useful. Also, if you haven't tried any piercing swords yet, then do; they are awesome.
I strongly suggest you build up an arsenal of 6+ weapons, the majority of which will be your specialty, and switch it up every time you dive. a good starter set for a versitile swordsman (I assume this to be your choice, based on your proposed gear) would be:
Divine Avenger
Gran Faust
Barbarous Thorn Blade
Polaris/Argent Peacemaker
Umbra Driver
Shivermist Buster
If I had to pick four:
Divine Avenger/Barbarous Thorn Blade (your choice)
Gran Faust
Polaris
Shivermist Buster
Eventually (after you reach 4* for sure, perhaps after some of your things reach 5*), you may be interested in these items:
Leviathan Blade
Blitz Needle
Ash of Agni
Electron Vortex
Voltaic Tempest
etc.
Hope I helped!
What if I replaced the AP with an Alchemer (Storm Driver, for example)?
And I picked it because I frequently run FSC solo, and I highly dislike Blitz Needle.
Since you run FSC frequently, the Polaris is better than the elemental Alchemers and does a lot more damage than the AP - the Alchemers are 2-shot reload and the AP doesn't do much damage to zombies (I've seen a guy play FSC solo and his AP did…80-90 damage per shot). Plus the Polaris has useful knockback and can inflict the shock status. Just try not to overuse it in parties.
Polaris' knockback and damage are quite effective in FSC, I agree. For other places in the Clockworks, Polaris is usually very good, although an alchemer such as Storm Driver is more party-friendly.
Divine Avenger is extremely good in FSC, because its wide swing and huge charge let it hit multiple zombies for huge damage. But in all other areas of the Clockworks, Combuster/Glacius/Voltedge are worth considering. And please seriously consider Acheron over Gran Faust; I definitely prefer Acheron.
I prefer the slower DA/GF because they're far more suitable as "swing and block" weapons, given their wide range, which is the manner I generally play in. I'm a very defensive player and am shielding 99% of the time.
It's fine that you're a defensive player who shields a lot, but let me remark that there is another way to be a defensive player: by doing lots of charge attacks. And Acheron is far better for this than Gran Faust, because there is no danger of cursing yourself. But I'll let the issue drop now. :)
what about the armors?
You need to consider those bonuses
