Well I have seen Rock jellys, like 5 love puppies, Impostocubes, Mewkats and those Blue lichens, and I havent got a signle item drop.
Guessing that Love Puppies are the only rare monsters that drop stuff?

Impostocubes always drop at least a gold coin. The blue sleep lichens drop some rare materials that aren't used for anything, but they make nice trophies.

Impostocubes don't ALWAYS drop a 50 coin. I had one drop nothing, although rare.
And I agree, that 'tooltip' is misleading and pointless.
I dont consider one gold coin a rare item.
I guess OOO should or remove this tooltip or add actual rare monsters that drop actual rare items.
Impostocubes not dropping anything is because of the "fix" they did a while ago. All slimes sometimes drop nothing, which was their brilliant way of fixing how JK levels gave too much crowns -_-

Those "Blue Jellies" are called Soul Jellies. They just drop a Brute/Gel Core. Still not a rare drop.
Kennys-Knight they can also drop z-core (wich is the thing that's useless but rare)
I was thinking the same thing too...
While people do get excited at seeing the rare creatures, they should drop SOMETHING special. A 50 coin is just lame.
... and for those rare creatures who obviously are wearing an accessory (hello impostocube) they should have the chance to drop those accessories!
Yeah, add in new drops to the rare monsters AND actually increase the drop rate to at least 70% of the time. I mean Love Puppies never drop trinkets anymore, or if they do, those that get them don't know there's a Forum or refuse to post.
Soul Jellies don't drop Zee Cores, only Slooms and Sloombargos (possibly?) did, and they're no longer commonly found in the game (though slooms have a chance of appearing in monster cages).
I have seen more than 20 love puppies and so far the best drop was a sun silver... mostly is just iron gear and few heat -.-
I've killed about 10, and have had the pleasure of getting 2 heart pendants. However, both of these drops were before the AH was installed. I sold one to a friend because I thought I'd never get around to using it or selling it. Since the AH existed, I have killed the majority of them and haven't seen anything good.
Killed 10 Love Puppies and nothing :p
