I've opened QUITE a lot of iron lockboxes, about 210 now.. and it wasn't cheap!
I'd just like to say that I feel cheated, considering they reduced the rarity of certain accessories, so that we could obtain them easier. Because I happened to open all those boxes before the latest patch. And I haven't gotten any rare accessories YET.
So I heard people opened 10-20 boxes after the new patch, and got alteast TWO wolver tails! What is this?! I feel like I deserve it WAY more than they do! Yes, I do know for a fact that it's a chance game, and it's risky and all that, but... reducing the rarity, it's just plain silly!
Not only am I broke because of the lock boxes, but I also feel extremely CHEATED by OOO.
And I certainly can't be the onlyone who feels like this atm, but man, it's not like we get any refund either...
So I guess making this thread was a waste of time too, just like opening those boxes.

Question: Why 210 boxes? I would've stopped after 5 wastes. (I haven't opened a box yet and don't plan to unless I have nothing to do with my money. But never 210 boxes.)

Sadly, no. You are not broke because of the lock boxes, you are broke because you gambled something you could not afford to lose. That is one of the problems with gambling, it can be all too easy to gamble when you shouldn't. No one is perfectly rational, and problem gambling appears to have a basis in biology.
In one of OOO's other games (puzzle pirates), you can have your account marked to prohibit all forms of gambling, which for SK would include things like lock boxes and Punch. Once marked as gambling prohibited, you can not ever get the account changed back. For a long time, OOO prohibited even very low stakes gambling, such as SK's PvP, but I'm pretty sure they have changed that.

At 750 energy a pop, that's 157,500 energy, which converts to somewhere around 10 million crowns (65 cr/CE).
Wow. For that much, you could probably just buy the accessories off of someone! o.o
